Happy Birthday Ayumi!

Part 1

“Happy birthday, Class Rep!” Naomi shot her a smile.

“Thank you, Nakashima.” Ayumi said.

 

Close to everyone wished her a happy birthday now.

Everyone except... Yoshiki.

She know she should be happy that her friends tried to give her a good birthday, but the fact that Yoshiki not even seemed to know that it was her birthday, kept bugging her.

She tried giving off hints, but he didn’t seem to get the hint.

 

Later that day, Ayumi left the school from her class rep duties. She checked the time. It wasn’t even that late yet.

“Hey, Shinozaki.”

She almost jumped at the voice.

“Kishinuma. Are you waiting for someone?”

He smiled. “Yeah, you. Wanna hang out?”

Ayumi raised an eyebrow. “Don’t you have to work?”

“Well, it’s my day off.”

“Is it anything special?” Ayumi asked.

“Nah, just want to hang out with a friend.”

She felt a wave of disappointment flow through her.

“Oh.. Yeah, okay..” She sighed.

 

Even though she was disappointed, she got curious at where the were heading.

“Where are we going?”

Yoshiki shot her his familiar smirk.

“I was thinking of going to the music festival.”

 

Ayumi’s disappointment made place for a burst of excitement at those words.

“I’ve never been to a music festival before!”

“Well, you’re gonna have a blast then.”

 

As they continued walking, the sound of music in the distance got louder.

Ayumi grabbed Yoshiki’s sleeve and started running towards the sound.

“H-Hey, wait up!”

 

As they entered the festival terrain, Ayumi’s eyes almost started to sparkle.

There were 3 stages, and on each one of them, an artist was playing.

Everywhere there were little stalls, where you could buy food and other stuff.
