Chapter 18

I felt the sun shining in my eyes and felt warm arms around my waist. I turned around and looked at Caleb with a smile. It’s hard to believe it has already been two weeks since all of the drama ended.

I am now the ‘Queen’ of my race and have made alliances with the wolves. The people I riengn over are actually not as bad as I thought. Most of them are part human so their heart is still beating, well faintly. Jenny has warmed up to me and Amy is back to her usual carefree self again. But I’m closer to Jenny then Amy. Amy still doesn’t trust me I think.

I smiled and brought my hand up to tuck his hair out of his eyes. His eyes popped open and he smiled. “Good morning princess.” He said softly while kissing me lightly on the forehead. I leaned up and kissed him on the lips until I heard him groan. I pulled back with a smile on my face. “You little tease.” He chuckled. I got out of bed and then started to feel a little dizzy.

I put my hand on my head and stood there while closing my eyes. Once I felt it pass I gained my composture back and started walking to the bathroom. I rested my hands on the sink and took in a deep breath. “What’s wrong Alex?” Caleb asked while leaning against the doorframe. I sighed and gave him a weak smile.

" Well I feel fine it’s just I have been feeling really dizzy when I get up. It’s probably just the after effect of using a lot of my energy. No need to worry honey. Now get out I need to take a shower, Jenny and I are going shopping together today. Shoo shoo.” I said while pushing him out of the door.

He chuckled and headed out the door. I smiled and then started the shower.

Once I got out of the bathroom I ran my hands down my shirt pushing away the wrinkles. “Caleb, where are you?” I asked while looking around the room. When I heard no answer I walked downstairs. I heard some people talking at the door and went to go see what was going on. I stopped in my tracks when I saw who was at the door.

“Tammy, what are you doing here?” I asked aloud. Caleb held the door with one hand and the other was clenched into a tight fist. I saw the blonde peak over Calebs shoulder and a sly smile spread across her face.

“Well I came here with my dad to find out why you two haven’t been to school for the past couple months. I mean isn’t against the law to not go to school without permission from the government or whatever? Right daddy?” She asked while turning around. I saw a tall man with a badge pinned to his chest step in front of Caleb.

I walked up to Caleb and stood beside him with my head held high. “Now you two are coming with me, quiting school is not permitted. Now just follow me.” He said while making room for us to come out. I smiled politely at him and looked him in the eyes as I spoke.

“Why sir it’s not like we’re commiting a crime. Unless getting homeschooled is against the law I see no need for you to be here. Now go tell that thing you call  your daughter to get her facts straight before she comes trespassing on my property.

If you don’t believe us fine but look at the paper work we sent in, it doesn’t matter what you think. Have a nice day, goodbye.” I said while slamming the door in his face. I huffed and looked up to Caleb. He put his hand over his mouth to contain his laughter.

“                      Fine if you think what I said was hilarious you can go sit in the back of his squad car. You obveiously don’t get that what happened was very serious. That old girl of yours, Tammy, she needs to stay off our property. How long were you even down here talking to her huh? While I was in the shower you talking to some ex of yours and could have been cheating on me for all I know.” I said, then I started crying.
