After the interesting dinner last night everyone immediately had went to their rooms. After Annie and I had arrived to our room we got changed and laid down.
"Finnick?" Annie asked me.
"Yes, sweetheart?" I responded.
"Do you really think this was a good idea? I mean, coming here?" Annie questioned while looking at me with concerned eyes. I sat up, leaning on my arm.
"Of course," I said, stroking her check. I gave her a quick kiss on the lips and laid back down and we drifted off to sleep.
The Next Day.....
I woke up to the next day from the bright sun shining through the large window. It almost felt like home for a second, then I realized we were still in the Capital. It really has changed quite a lot for me to think it was my District. I looked at the digital clock perched on the glass table besides my side of the bed. 8:45. I turned to Annie who was peacefully sleeping on her back. I hated to wake her but she would be mad at me if I didn't soon.
I judged her shoulder, "Annie?" I said in a whisper like tone. Nothing. She has always been a deep sleeper. "Annie?" I shook her shoulder at little more this time. "Annie?" This time I shook her shoulder, a little harder. Nothing. No, she can't be- I stopped myself from thinking otherwise. To be honest, Finnick you are barley doing anything!
"Annie!" I practically screamed her name and put my hands on either shoulder. With my face only inches from her's.
Her beautiful grayish blue eyes opened, her face was serious. "Finnick, what's wrong?" She asked, placing here hand on my cheek.
I decided not to say anything about what I was thinking and instead responded casually, " It's time to get up." I climbed out of bed, gently pulling Annie out too.
She found a pretty floral dress to wear while I put on a pair of gray pants and a soft, white sweater. (Like in picture above)
After 20 minutes we finally got out of our room and went to the elevator. I checked to see if anyone was going down currently, but I didn't see anyone so I pressed the 1 button.
It started downward and in a matter of 10 seconds the doors opened wide. Everyone was already there, even Johanna. Surprising. And Beetee was there too. We walked over to them, I saw Gale look up and smile and us.
Beetee saw Annie and me and immediately shook both of our hands. "How are you doing Finnick, Annie?" Beetee asked us with a small smile on his face.
"Never been better," I responded with a smile and Annie nodded in agreement. Just as it looked like Beetee was about to say something else Lola appeared, what seemed out of nowhere with, yet another bright smile.
"Good morning everybody!" She said cheerfully, making sure to make eye contact with everyone. Though she held mine the longest.
"Today is a big day, so of course you need some breakfast. And I promise you, you'll get some!" Lola spoke in an enthusiastic voice.
"Now, if you follow me we can begin!" Lola turned around and started for the front doors. We all filed out after her into the bright morning sun.
