WORDS...

Words could be empowering,
They'd set you free
Or they could enslave you
Crush your conceit
Words have edges that go deeper than a knife,
Words carry a spark that ignites,
They aim for our hearts and reach out to the soul,
They bewitch our minds and make us bow,
A superior asset to both dictators and reformists alike,
It's the mastery upon the art of weaving these words,
Into songs, into poems,
Into speeches tales and beliefs,
That has made the immortality
Of a mere mortal being a possibility,
For the bodies of these great mortals meets death,
Their vision, these words carry forward.
