"As long as she's happy" Chapter 11

Sasuke walked out into the garden and saw them kissing and it made his blood boil.

Watching another man hold her in that manner made him feel angered to the furthest degree.

He wanted nothing more than for Gaara to disappear.

"Hello you two." He interrupted their makeout session.

"Um- Sasuke.."

Gaara stopped Sakura.

"What do you want?" He got in front of her and glared at Sasuke.

"Oh nothing. I'm just here to speak to Sakura." Sasuke reaches for Sakura and was grabbed by his wrist.

"No. She's busy with me. You had your chance."

Gaara pushed Sasuke away from them and that only gets Sasuke angrier and he retaliates.

"Stop fighting! You complete idiots!"

They stopped and looked at Sakura who had tears in her eyes and was obviously angry.

"Sasuke you ruin everything! My friendship with Gaara! Our marriage! And my life!"

Gaara looked at her shocked and Sasuke looked down at the grass solemnly.

"Sakura I-"

"No! I loved you so hard since before the day you considered my existence and all I've gotten in return is getting pushed away and physical and mental pain from you! You know how it feels to be alone but you won't even hesitate to do it to your own wife! You left me to relieve yourself of sins and I respect that but god knows how many women you were around and with during that time! You had me and Sarada worried sick of you! I felt so terrible that you couldn't see her grow up but I raised her so that she knows that her father is a good man! Then suddenly I come home to that same good man that I spoke so highly of cheating on me and leaving me to myself again!"

Sakura broke down crying and ran back inside, only leaving the silence and tension for Gaara and Sasuke to reflect in.

"I'll go.. I think that you should fix things with her."

Gaara made the decision to let Sasuke repair his love, he wasn't doing anything but perpetuating the problem.

"As long as she's happy..."

His voice trailed off and he left Sasuke all alone.

Sasuke sighed and then got to work on his apology. He gathered some gladiolus flowers and picked a few to compliment them.

'I remember when my mother had told me that these flowers signified strength of character, faithfulness, and honor.'

He smiled at the thought of using his mother's words of advice to heal another important woman in his life; Sakura.

He held the bouquet of flowers and gathered the courage to walk into Sakura's bedroom.

"Sakura.."

"What?"

Sasuke sat on the bed beside her and gently wiped all of her tears on each side of her face with both of his thumbs

"I apologize.. you never deserved the way I treated you... You are the perfect woman and I admit that I fucked everything up for us."

Sakura looked up at him with sad eyes and layed her head on his shoulder silently.

"And I want nothing more than to live a happy life and have more kids with you. I'm sorry once again for not being there for you and Sarada."

Sakura listened and her eyes fluttered shut as she went to sleep, she seemed exhausted so he left her flowers with a note on her side table after he layed her to rest.

"Goodnight Sakura."

He gently closed the door and went back to his room to sleep.
