"I loved you" Chapter 2

General POV
It had become darker in the night when Sakura and Sarada made their way home from training, both of them were exhausted and ready to eat. Sarada's stomach grumbles and she blushes a bit.

"Why don't we get ramen, Sarada?" Sakura offered, Since she sees that she's worked so hard she might as well treat her and bring something home for Sasuke.

"Sounds like a plan!" Sarada smiled at her mother.

~After they had eaten, Sakura and Sarada went home with food for Sasuke~

"Hi dad!" Sarada hugged her father. "I know I made mom proud when I used my sharingan against her, she said it reminded her of you when you were young." Sarada let go of her father and went into her room for the night.

"She's very talented" Sasuke said to Sakura, looking at her intently, watching her walk to him.

"Sasuke, It still feels like a dream. I'm happy you came back. Now we're a happy family."

"Yea." He smiles faintly, wondering if he chose to do the right thing.

"I love you." Sakura said shyly.

Sasuke's heart dropped into his stomach, Instantly regretting pushing her away when he was young and what he had done today.

"I love you, Sakura." He pulls her to him and they hug for what seems like hours.

~Later, In the bedroom~

Both Sasuke and Sakura had their pajamas on, ready for bed.

"Sakura, How much do you love me?"

"I love you more than I love myself, Sasuke" She smiled, leaving Sasuke puzzled on how she can say that so easily.

"What would happen if I hurt you?" He says, digging deeper than a regular conversation.

"You wouldn't. You have a good heart Sasuke. I trust you." Sakura handled the questions lightly and that showed Sasuke what kind of love he put on the line.

"Alright." Is all that Sasuke could say in the moment.

They both got into bed and Sakura reached for her nightstand to turn the light off and saw the slip of paper.

"What's this?" She opened the note up and her eyes went blank, as if she had been stabbed in every vital organ all at once.

"Sasuke.." She looked over at his guilty face as her warm tears flowed down from her eyes onto the note.

Sasuke couldn't say anything to her, he knew he had ruined the rest of his life.

"But.. I loved you.. with everything I had.." she clutched the spot where her heart was beating a mile per second and the tears flowed faster.

"Sakura.. I love you so mu-" Sasuke finally managed to say something

"I hate you."

"Sakura-"

"With all of my heart!!" She looked at Sasuke with her face full of a mix of hurt, anger, and sadness.

"Forgive me, Sakura."

~Flashback~

Sakura watched Sasuke walk away on the only road out of the village. They both were silent until he stopped to speak.

"It's the middle of the night, What are you doing hanging around here for?" Sasuke asked

"This is the only road out of the village.." she said shyly, not even looking at him.

"You should go to bed." You could hear the dismissive tone he used to speak to her. He always spoke to her that way.

"Why Sasuke?" She asked in defeat as he walked right past her, A tear fell from her eyes.

"Why won't you ever tell me anything?!" She finally looked at him.

"Why is it always silence with you?" She continued.

"You never shared a single thing-"

"Why should I have to tell you anything?!" Sasuke snapped, tired of hearing her whine.

"Just keep your nose out of my business. It's none of your concern." He sounded annoyed with her, as always.

"I know you hate me, even from the beginning you could never stand me."

"Remember?" Her tear had turn into more tears. "When we were assigned to our three man squad?"

"Right here in this very spot. You got so mad at me that day."

She reminiscences about the first time they spoke alone, he called her annoying.

Her thoughts where interrupted by Sasuke's voice.

"I don't remember that."

Sakura looked shocked but it swiftly calmed into more sadness as she looked down.

'Of course he doesn't remember' she thought

"Y-yea sure... I mean it was so long ago.. right?"

Her tears fell onto the pavement in front of her, staining the spot where it landed in a darker gray color.

"But still that's the day where it all began. The start of you and me" She smiled through her tears. She's always had this hidden strength to her.

~End Of Flashback~

Sakura snapped back to reality, she put the tear  soaken note on her nightstand along with her wedding ring, that she never took off.

He never seemed to care back then, or even now. About the pain he put her through. All of the empty apologies that he'd give her, The empty promises that he's guaranteed her, and most of all the fake love he's given her.

"I think this might be the end.. of you and me, Sasuke"
