Yeet.

I tried forcing the door open as the zombie's limping body came closer each second, but it was no use. The door was closed shut and there was nothing to do about it.

My lips started to tremble and my hands begin to shake.

Is this the way I was going to die?

I heard the zombie's growl grow louder and louder, so was that obnoxious rotting smell that would burn my sensitive nose. I began to breathe heavily, my hands covering my mouth and I dropped to my knees in defeat. The zombie came so close to me that I could feel it's disgusting breath near my face.

The zombie put its rotted hand on my shoulder, but it turned around when there was a shattering noise by the front of the store. I didn't notice the sound until I heard somebody yell and when the zombie's hand came off of my shoulder.

"Hey!! Is anyone in here?!" The voice was male, possibly around my age. My heart started to pound with relief and determination, making me stand up and do my all-time favorite kick, named after me: 'Lucy Kick!'.

The zombie fell to the ground, making a loud roar. "Yeah, someone's in here!! Please, help me!" I yelled as loud as I could and started running to where I heard the man's voice.

I kept running until I collided with someone, fell down, and we both let out an "oof".  I looked up to see a fairly attractive 18-year-old. My age. He had unkept pink hair and we locked eyes for a moment. His eyes were as black as the pupils and they looked absolutely gorgeous.

He looked down for a second and immediately looked up, adverting his eyes from mine. His cheeks started to turn light pink and he rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand.

"Umm... This is an awkawrd position we're in." He said with a laugh. I looked down in confusion and realized that my breasts were laying tighly on his chest, making my face red up in embarrassment.

"Sorry." I muttered and immediately sat up. After our little incident, I helped him up.

The boy turned his head to the zombie that was heading our way. He looked at me with determined eyes.

"Okay, you hide behind me so I can fight this guy." I looked at him like he was crazy.

"You don't have any weapons!"

He smirked. "You'll see."

I hesiantly stepped back, focusing on the zombie and our current location. The boy pulled out a small lighter from his pocket and a bottle of rubbing oil. He put the rubbing oil on his hands and lit up the lighter.  He moved his hands around the lighter and the flame moved to his hand. He did with the other and put the lighter and rubbing oil back in his pocket.

"I'm all fired up!!" The guy yelled and ran to the zombie. He punched the zombie and the flames started to burn it's skin.

Great. I'm dealing with a pyromaniac.

The zombie let out a long screech and tried to stratch the guy, but he dodged easily and kicked it's stomach, making half of the zombie's body fall apart and onto the floor with a loud thump.

I gaped at him. Who new zombie's were weak against fire? That's fucking genius.

"Now that's what I call action!" The pryomaniac cheered and walked up to me. He had a grin on his face as he held up his hand.

"My name's Natsu, by the way. Natsu Dragneel."

I took his hand and replied with a smile. "Lucy Heartfilia."

I walked over to where my bag was and he followed. I wonder if he's going to follow me, I'd never admit it, but I kinda wish he would. I picked up my bag and headed out to the store's front door. Natsu was still following me with a bored expression on his face as his hands were pressing on the back of his head.

I looked at him, pretending to be annoyed. "Are you following me?"

My heart thumped with hope as he looked at me. "Nah, I'm not following you."

I tried not to look disappointed. I turned my head away from him and to the door, peaked out to see around the trees and bushes if they're were any zombies near by. Thankfully, there weren't any nearby so I walked threw the glass-less door. As I did so, I felt a stronge grip on my wrist, holding me back.

I looked at Natsu, confused. "What're you doing?"

He gave me another grin. I continued with annoyed glare as he didn't answer and started to pull me out of the building and onto the streets.

"With me."

I huffed and crossed my arms, but my heart thumped with happiness and relief.

It grew silent as we continued to walk to the outskirts of Magnolia. Night crawlled as we walked away from the town.

I looked around to see where we were, but it was too dark outside to get an actual location. All I knew was that we were in a forest near Magnolia.

Natsu suddenly stopped and stared at the seemingly endless forest. I couldn't read his expression becuase I was behind him.

"Natsu? What's wrong?" I asked quietly, focusing on the pink haired boy.

Natsu didn't answer for a second when I heard it. I closed my mouth shut as the sounds came closer and closer. Soon, I could see many crimson red eyes gleaming and dark figures a few feet away from us.

"Zombies. And a lot of them."
