A/N: Sooooo, I wanted to wait a day before I wrote again, but. . . I think writing is as addicting as reading. Anyways to skip the sappy stuff. . . Thanks for making it to chapter two, and dismissing my awful writing skills. Also pleeeaaassseeeee add this to your read list because, like, we all know this story is amazing. . . . . . . . maybe.
The lack of a giant glowing gate still surprised Sophie, but her group marched up to the door and Sophie reached out a timid hand and knocked twice. The door swung open to reveal a smiling Fitz.
"Hey." Fitz laughed slightly when he noticed her guard in protective position around Sophie, "Looks like you brought your army."
"Yeah. . .", Sophie didn't know how to tell him. "Can we talk?"
Fitz wrapped his arm around her and guided her to the main room.
"Can we go somewhere more private?" she asked
"Sure." Fitz said leading her to his room. As soon as they were inside, the guards positioned outside the door, she decided she would just get it off her back.
"So." Sophie began, "I went to the matchmaking center and then I had to wait for like five minutes while the files loaded, and. . ."
"Annnnddddd. . . " Fitz asked after thirty seconds of silence.
"And I'm unmatchable." She said wincing slightly.
"Hey," Fitz said sliding his hand into hers, "You know I'll still date you. Heck, I don't care I'd cover myself in alicorn poop just to be with you."
"Yeah, but would you suffer through being a bad match and let us face scorn for the rest of our lives?" She argued. Tears threatened to spill over and her voice shook.
"Yes." The word was small but the meaning felt huge. Fitz lowered his face to hers, his eyes filled with an emotion she couldn't deny.
"Really?" her voice grew hoarse and she gazed into his teal eyes.
He nodded and moved closer pressing his lips against hers. She leaned into the kiss. Finally, he pulled away and took her other hand.
"I would do ANYTHING for you, Sophie" he said his voice stern, but his eyes were soft and he rubbed his thumb across the back of her hand.
"I think I'm ready." Sophie whispered.
"Ready for what?" Fitz asked.
"This. . . us." she looked into those amazing teal eyes, "I'm ready."
A/N: Ok so that ending wasn't so bad of a cliff hanger. I hope you guys liked this chapter. I seem incapable of writing more than 500 words, but it's whatever. . . Anywayyyysssss, wear your safety helmets. Peace out, friends.
bye.
