Blag. Blag. Blag.
“Unnie! Unnie! Maris Unnie!”
I covered my head with my pillow and continued sleeping. I was still sleepy because last night, I was browsing for job hiring here in Korea. Good thing there are lots of job findings, the bad thing was, I can’t read Hangul. I can speak to communicate, but I can’t read nor write in their language.
Blag. Blag. Blag.
“Unnie! Maris Unnie! OPEN THE DOOR NOW UNNIE! UNNIE!!”
Grudgingly, I woke up and went to open the door. I was still yawning when I saw an excited Mia, my friend, who was grinning from ear to ear. She went inside my room without permission and slumped herself down my bed.
‘Oh well. This is her house anyway.’ I thought.
I went back to my bed and lie down on my side, opposite her. I close my eyes and hug my pillow. I was about to drift to dreamland when she pulled my pillow.
“Yaah! Don’t you sleep on me Unnie!”
“What do you want Mia? Me, I want to sleep so go away. You’re disturbing me and my peaceful slumber.” I said covering myself with my blanket.
She grabbed the blanket away from me, throwing it somewhere and pulled me to my feet. I almost tripped by the force she used.
“Come here you lazy bum. Take a bath and get dressed. We’re going somewhere.” She said squealing. She pushed me inside the bathroom and I felt myself drip from water. My eyes shot open at the wetness I felt.
“Yaah! I’m still on my pajamas!”
She just raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms on her chest while stifling a laugh.
“Serves you right Unnie. Now, take a bath and get dressed. Palli! Palli!”
“Tsk. You’re such a 23 year old kid. And please, don’t call me Unnie. You are one year older than me.” I said sticking my tongue out.

“Let’s ride the roller coaster unnie!” she said pulling me to the ride.
We are now in the amusement park, courtesy of Ji Hoon-ssi, her fiancé. She had been dreading to go to that ride but I always do anything that will pull away her attention from it. Jeez, I’m too afraid to ride that. But I guess my luck was over. We are now in front of the high ride.
“Unnie, let’s ride the roller coaster please?” she repeated, this time with her puppy eyes. She even pouts her lips to emphasize her pleading expression. I look at her then at the ride. My stomach churn and I felt dizzy at the sight .
“No. I won’t ride that.” I said looking away from the ride.
“Why? Are you afraid?”
I look again at her and nods my head.
“I-Y-yes. I’ve never ride that one before. And I will never ride that.” I said shutting my eyes firmly. I heard her sigh.
“Okay.”
“You can ride there without me Mia. I’ll just wait you here.” I said opening my eyes and looking at her. Her face lightens and she grabs my hand.
“You sure you’re okay here?”
I pulled my hand and walked to the nearest bench. Sitting down, I smile at her and get my phone in my bag.
“Yup. No worries.” I said then wink. She walked away happily and I started playing with my phone. I took pictures and posted it on my accounts. I was busy updating my social networking accounts when all of a sudden, someone grabbed my hand and pulled me from my sit.
“You thief!”
I was astounded.

Hyung: is an address of a younger boy/male to an older boy, older guy or older brother.
Unnie: is an address of a younger girl/female to an older girl or older sister.
Palli: an expression meaning quickly, hurry up and fast or faster.
