Conan's P.O.V

Jeez, it's already Valentine's Day and I have no one to be my valentines.

I glanced over at the other workers' desks, they were filled with flowers and envelopes, but mine was empty.

My eyes landed on the cleaners room, there was no valentines related things, but for all I know, she could've taken them already.

There is probably a beautiful
bouquet of bright red roses placed delicately on her desk, awaiting to be smelt with a long lasting inhale.

I am pretty sure she has a boyfriend anyway, there was no use asking.

I pulled a document out in front of me as well as a black pen, I stared at it for a while before wrapping my fingers around the said pen and writing as quick as possible.

I heard a loud laugh echo through the almost empty workplace, I looked up and saw Sarah talking to Gavin, she seemed to be quite happy.

Without a word, Gavin walked ahead, while Sarah strode to me, I paused as I suddenly felt a hand twirl around my hair, playing with it endlessly, I tried my hardest to ignore it.

"Hey, who's YOUR valentines?" Sarah asked the question as if she had one, leaving behind more reasons for me to keep quiet.

"Don't have one..." I mumbled under my breath, not going to lie, I was ashamed of myself.

"Oh?..." Sarah sounded happy, which was confusing, she continued to fiddle with my hair.

"Don't be sad about it, for all you know, someone could just be too shy to ask." I looked up and saw Sarah wink, causing me to laugh a little.

"Mhm, whatever you say, Sarah." I chuckled as I saw Sarah jolt, I never actually used her real name, only nicknames, mainly Bee, after her stripy yellow and black turtleneck.

"You don't get it!" Sarah let go of my hair and laid her head on my desk, leaving me confused and worried.

"What do you mean? Are you okay?" I asked while raising an eyebrow, Sarah looked back up at me, her braces shining through her frown.

All the sudden, Sarah stood back up straight, her fists clenched by her side and her cheeks tinted red.

"WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINES!?" Sarah squealed loudly and almost immediately regretted it all together.

"Oh..." I felt my entire face warm up, my brain was frozen and so was my body.

"I was hoping you'd ask." I said with a wink, Sarah looked dead, she tends to do that when she's scared, embarrassed or flustered.

"Omg..." Sarah muttered with her face in her hands, I swear that she looked like a fresh picked tomato.

"That's a yes, ya dingus." I sniggered, Sarah looked up again with a warming smile, before leaning in and pressing her lips against mine.

Now I looked dead.

"What the phck are they doing?..." Gavin's voice echoed throughout the lab.

"They're loving, you idiot." Ariela smiled while glancing over at Gavin.

"Just like us."
