as i tied my hair up, i couldn't help but think about that boy from yesterday. i thought he would be a cold guy because of his sharp features, but he was actually really friendly. "yue-ah! breakfast is ready, hurry up!" i heard my dad call out from the kitchen. i quickly fixed my hair and grabbed my bag.
i legit landed here yesterday, and i already have to start school. i sighed and headed to the dining table.
my dad and i talked while we ate our breakfast. i forgot to buy meat yesterday at the shop, so we only ate rice, egg and vegetables. my father finished before me and said while getting his metro card, "i'll be heading off now, enjoy your first day!"
"okay, bye dad," i smiled while waving lightly. i quickly checked the time. it was already 7:15. i finished my meal and wore my shoes.
i locked the door behind me and waited for the lift. at the moment the lift opened, i heard the door from our neighbor open.
"we meet again, river."
i heard a voice behind me and i turned around and saw hendery. i smiled and waved at him, before entering the crowded lift. he entered after me.
as i walked towards the bicycle parking spot, i noticed hendery was following me. i felt a little uneasy, so i turned around and said, "what is your problem?" as a reaction.
he looked slightly taken aback, before having a confused grin plastered onto his face. "i don't think i have a problem, i just want to get my bike," he said, snickering.
my face became super red at embarrassment. "o-oh, sorry, i thought you were following me and i kinda freaked out." he laughed before saying, "haha, it's fine. i would be freaked out too if i was in your shoes."
i awkwardly laughed as i hopped onto my bike, as he hopped onto his. he rode in front of me,but we went the same direction.
at a red light, he turned around with a serious expression plastered onto his face, "ok, why are you following me now?" i was shocked and said, "we just so happen to be going the same way." his expression was honestly really scary. his cold expression suddenly turned into him laughing.
"i'm just playing. you looked so frightened, you should've seen your face!" he said breathless. i gasped before pretending to be mad. he suddenly stopped laughing and looked worried. "hey, are you mad? i didn't mean to make you scared i --" i cut him off by laughing extremely loudly.
"you fell for my trick, haha!"
he gasped, but laughed along. we suddenly heard a honk, and we found out that it was a green light, so we hurriedly paddled.
