Just when reality stops spinning, they all went from standing in the living room to Jonas' room."Well that was fast." Mack professes, impressed. He seemed to be cool about all of this, but his shirt was drenched in sweat, his entire upper body shaping into view.
"Well lets not get too comfortable in space." Julie reminded them. Her blonde hair seemed unscathed from all the teleportation that they'd done, still tied back into a flawless ponytail.
"Well, I don't see the Revello guy you were talking about Jonas." Andrew said, eyeing the room's corners nervously, like as if Revello were hiding in one of them.
"I heard my name," Revello's voice boomed across the Realm, "so I came!" he says as he materializes on the bed, in the resting position. His staff appearing out of no where, falling into Mack's hands. "Quite the entrance, isn't it? I've been practicing." He said proudly. "Anyways, lets get to work!"
Maybe it was the spectacular entrance or the staff, but their jaw had certainly made its way to the floor. As Jonas' star struck friends slowly emerged from their trauma of surprise, Jonas spoke, "I'm sure you've heard our decision, I'm also sure that you've had an involvement in making it." Jonas was pretty annoyed. It was bad enough they were risking their lives to do this, but Revello butting in with his psychic powers to make decisions on behalf of his friends was not something Jonas liked, one bit. Luckily, this didn't occur to his friends.
Revello, now standing upright, was wearing black robes that swooshed behind him every time he walked, the light from the bulbs were reflecting off his bald head. His hands were behind his back, which complemented the crinkle in his eyes and the rather exasperating smile. "Of course I've heard everything. What have you thought of me, an old man who respects privacy? Bah!"
"Well, I'd say so." Ryan said.
"Thank you!" Revello answered. "Anyways, from what I recall, you desire supernatural powers, all of you?
"Ehh, yes sir. You see, without any powers, we won't quite stand a chance against River and I think if River won, things could go very wrong..." Mack said softly, as if trying to tame a wild dog.
"Well, your in luck!" Revello flamboyantly answers. He directs his hand towards the staff that was still in Mack's hands, and it flew right into his. "WHOA!" Mack exclaimed.
He spread his arms and the scene around them, dissolves into a white thick fog, then suddenly, like blocks constructing a building, pieces of their new surroundings came into picture. Within a matter of a few seconds, they were standing amidst an expanse of concrete flooring. There seemed to be no walls, no dead ends. To simply put it, it was an endless battleground.
"Welcome to your training field." Revello greeted them excitedly. He looked around and gave himself a pat of the back, proud of his work.
"Look, this is all too fancy and nice. But what about our powers." Ryan asked indignantly. He kept silent this whole time, observing how the illusions seemed to work, the gestures and staff-movement that was involved in it all.
"Child, do not condescend, or I wont hesitate in turning you to space dust." He looked at Jonas and then towards Ryan. Ryan looked like as if someone clenched his heart and then released it. Revello laughs suddenly and dramatically. "I'm kidding child, I'm only kidding, I believe that is what they say on earth right? Anyways," his expressions straighten, "Have patience! You'll get your turn."
