(U know the rest)

Alex was unpacking in his room when his mom came in. "Honey, look at this!" She had a pamphlet in her hand with a big sloppy question mark on the front.

"There's a 'Mystery Shack' with spooky artifacts! Some dude living nearby here told me about it."

Alex replied, "We're not going THERE, right?". He felt he said that a little too anxiously.

"Oh, you're just scared!" his mother teased. He was right. "No, I'm not!". He really wasn't. he could just see right through that cheesy pamphlet. He really didn't want to go.

"C'mon, it'll be fun!" his mom pleaded.

"We should do this to get outta dad's way!"

Alex looked at his dad through the window, picking up huge boxes out of the truck. He yelled "Whoa!" as he almost fell over.

"Oh, all right" Alex sighed.

"Yaay! C'mon, let's go!"

His mom practically dragged him out of the house. He stumbled as he barely glanced back at his father (his mom was still dragging him).

"Let's goo!" She whined.

After being dragged by the wrist for what seemed like FOREVER they finally arrived at the "Mystery _Hack". Alex rubbed his wrist. "Well, looks like it shut down, let's go" (he said all this very fast). Alex just turned around when his mom grabbed his shirt, pulling him back. "No! Look!"

Alex saw people walk inside, which drew his eyes to a gigantic "S" on the ground.

"Let's go!" his mother seemed WAY too overexcited.

"Oh, joy" he replied sarcastically as his mother grabbed his wrist again and pulled. "Owowow!" They walked in as Alex glared at his mother, rubbing his wrist. She took no notice.

"Look at this!" She yelled, looking at a bobble head of an old man. "Huh? huh? this is hilarious!" Alex's face reddened with embarrassment as he walked away to the clothing section.

He grabbed the panther shirt and went up to the girl at the front desk, taking out his torn, black leather wallet with a zipper. He slammed the shirt onto the desk and unzipped his wallet, looking down asking "How much?" He looked up and brushed his hair to the side, showing no particular interest to the girl in front of him. She was wearing a pink sweater with a shooting star on the front.

Her eyes widened as she looked into his eyes. "Uh uh ten dollars!" He placed ten dollars on the desk, still looking into her eyes, untrusting. She calmed down all of a sudden, a smirk on her face. "I'm Mabel, but you can call me the girl of your dreams! I'm kidding!" He just replied, "Yeah, okay, whatever, bye." He walked away with hurt in her eyes. He felt bad, but he shook it off. 'I'm not gonna fall in love today' he thought, walking away from that amazing, beautiful-no, don't think like that Alex.
