Chapter 3

As you arrived at the doctors' door, you let out a sigh before softly knocking on it.

"Come in!" they called.

You opened the door, and analysed the room. It was neither small, or big. All sorts of pictures and diagrams were hung up on the wall; skeletons, letters and fruit. There was also that typical disinfectant doctors smell.

You entered the room and sat down at the desk, opposite of the doctor, with your hands in your lap - they were becoming quite sweaty as you anticipated your results.

"How are you doing Miss Y/L/N?" The doctor smiled.

How am I doing? Seriously?

"Doctor, I don't mean to be rude but can we speed this up?" You huffed as you rolled your eyes before checking your watch.

The doctor cleared his throat before continuing, "As you know, the results for your MRI scan have come back.....Unfortunately, they didn't come out so well."

Honestly, this wasn't a shock to you. You've been receiving bad news you're whole life. This was just another thing to add to the list of everything going wrong in your life.

"So what was it? What was my result?"

"The results showed a cyst in your liver", they announced. "At the moment, it's not a worry but if the cyst was to enlarge or erupt, you would have a serious infection. Of course that's something we don't want to risk so surgery for it to be removed, is the best option for you."

You looked down for a split moment and
rubbed your forehead, "when would the surgery take place?" You asked back.

"Well we're still waiting for a free slot. We'll be sure to get in touch when we do get hold of one. But in the mean time, make sure to take it easy. It's best if you stay away from any physical activities and drink plenty of water." He instructed you.

To relieve your stress, you decided to take an extra hot shower and relax yourself and take you mind off of things.

You got out the shower, with a large towel wrapped around you whole body and walked into your bedroom.

Just after you finished getting dressed, you heard your phone pinging. You walked over the bed to find a text from an unknown number.

Jin? What? How did you
get my number?

I have my ways haha!
Anyways, I was wondering
if you wanted to get lunch
tomorrow?

Sure!🙂

Wow! Did Jin seriously go out of his way to get your number? Why are you suddenly starting to feel nervous?
