Crossing the Line Continues

Confessions Part 1

It was Monday and the start of the senior's final exams week. Every senior was trying to cram at the last minute. Trying to learn a year's worth of work in a few hours.

Zi Xuan and Cheng En decided to take a break from studying. Knowing that whatever they didn't know at this point wouldn't be absorbed into their brains within the next 30 minutes.

They were just going to sit in the class room with a few others who give up the pretense and drink a bottle of juice and eat some chips that they got from the vending machine.

"I am going to tell my parents about my relationship with Yu Hao." Zi Xuan declared out of the blue.

Unfortunately for Cheng En he had just taken a swallow of his drink at the time. He started coughing trying to get the liquid out of his airway.
"I'm sorry could you repeat that." Cheng En asked after he could talk again.

"I'm going to tell my parents about Yu Hao." Zi Xuan repeated.

"That's what I thought you said. Now I have one follow-up question for you. Are you out of your volleyball crazy mind?" Cheng En enquired.

(The previous night)

Xuan was studying in his room when his mother knocked on his door.

"Xuan honey." His mother called out.

He got up and opened the door. Letting her into the room.

"Yes."

She walked in the room and sat down on his bed. He went back to his desk.

She looked at his desk and exclaimed. "Good you're not sleep yet. Still studying?"

"Just some refresher notes nothing too major."

"Good. Good. Feeling confident about your exams."

"I'm feeling good. I should have no problems passing."

"Excellent. So how are your friends doing? Xiao Xiao, Cheng En?"

"My friends. Umm I guess everyone's doing well."Zi Xuan answered

"That's good. Any parties planned for the end of the year."

"Parties . Maybe a few small ones. Is everything alright. You don't usually ask me things like this."

"Just one more question sweetie. I promise, ok."

"Ok shoot."

"Are you free this Saturday?"

"I should be free. Do you need me for something?"

"I want you to wear your best outfit for me that day." She pulled out a photo and handed it to him. "This is Shi An Ni. She is the daughter of one of your dads associate. She's a first year at Shanghai University and you have a date with her this Saturday."

"Your mom set you up on a blind date." Cheng En asked surprised.

"Yeah." Zi Xuan said miserably.

"Is she trying to get you married off before you even get into college?"
