Cameron who? {Chapter 2}

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry" I said not making eye contact picking up my phone from the ground and wiping it off with the palm of my hand. "Haha it's no big deal" he said looking down at me. He was about a head taller than me. I still didn't make eye contact as I gave a shy smile and walked away briskly. I could feel him watching me walk away. Who was he? Why did his voice sound familiar?

{Same Day: Bella's P.O.V}

I continued walking through the streets of California, heading towards the park thinking. I'm so clumsy and I didn't even see who it was. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry" "Haha it's no big deal". I couldn't stop it, it just kept repeating over and over again in my head. There was something familiar in that voice and I know it. I tried to shake it off, took a deep breath, and picked up my pace.

When I finally arrived at the park I sat down on a bench right next to the water. Pulling out my phone I plugged in my headphones and went through all my notifications.

{Cam's P.O.V}

I was casually strolling through the park when I pulled my self down behind a bush. It was that girl. Do I go say something? Do I not? Should I even walk past? I stood up, slowly approaching the girl sitting on a bench near the water.

I moved a bit closer, stepping on a branch that crunched beneath my feet and made a loud noise. That was my first mistake.

She unplugged her headphones and stared back at me. Giving a shy smile I went and sat down.

{Bella's P.O.V}

I unplugged my headphones and was about to get up when he started walking closer to me. I looked up at him. As we stared into each other's eyes, it seemed like the world just stopped. He was perfect.I just still couldn't figure out who he was. Brown hair that looked so soft I wanted to just reach out and touch it, beautiful brown eyes, a couple cute little acne scars, an amazing smile. Who?

I was snapped out of my thoughts when he ended the silence, "I'm Cameron. Uum I came over here because I heard you singing. Your really good" he said biting his lip and looking down at his feet. I proceeded to introduce myself, "Thanks. I'm Isabella, everyone calls me Bella for short." I mumbled rather quickly adding a shy smile. "So call you Bella? Or?" He said clearly confused and let out a little laugh which made me smile like an idiot. "Just Bella" I said laughing. We just stood their smiling at each other for what seemed like forever.

"Oh, uum I'm sorry, but I gotta go" I added breaking the silence this time by checking my phone as if I got a text. I brushed past him quickly and nervously.

He was just so perfect he made me nervous. I was shaking, my stomach felt weird, I've honestly never felt this way before. But I was stopped suddenly.

{Cam's P.O.V}

"Oh, uum I'm sorry, but I gotta go" she said walking away. She had only walked a few feet away when without even thinking twice, I grabbed her arm. "Wait"

She turned around to face me again. "I didn't mean to scare you away. Why don't you stay a little longer?" I asked gesturing for her to sit down.

She looked at me, then at the ground, bit her lip, gave another shy smile, and walked back over as if giving in. We sat down together on the big rocks alongside the water talking as we stared out into the water getting to know each other.

{Bella's P.O.V}

Cam and I were just talking, getting to know each other better, when my phone rang ruining the moment. "Sorry I gotta take this" I said excusing myself. It was Madeline, needing to know where I was at every second of course.

When I hung up I sat back down next to him, staring in the same direction he was. We watched the sunset for a couple minutes longer and then I handed him a little piece of paper with my number written on it.

"Here. I wish I could stay longer, but I gotta get heading home"

He gazed at it a moment and met my eyes once more. With a smile in response he handed me my purse and stood up.

"Thanks"

"No problem. I'll text you later though because I should get going also" he said checking the time on his phone and rushing off after waving goodbye.

I waved back and set out to head back home and when I arrived I told Madeline I was home and ran up to my room, collapsing on my bed.

I tried to process all that happened but instead ended up dozing off.
