I walked up and down the isles in the store looking for some sour gummy worms. I caught a random craving for something sour and sweet on my way to work so I decided to stop at Family Dollar.

My phone went off telling me that I had received a notification from Snapchat of someone complimenting my new hair style. I loved my hair and all but I wanted to be bold and different and try a new color. So far I did the right thing cause everybody was loving it just like I was.

"Oooh yes!" I screeched grabbing a bag of white chocolate Kit Kats. Anything white chocolate was automatically gonna be in my stomach. My craving of sour and sweet went right out the window when I seen white chocolate. However when I turned around and seen Khaillurah stopping in the candle aisle unloading boxes from a crate I think I wanted dark chocolate.

He didn't notice me, which honestly I didn't want him to for some reason, so I hurried and tried to walk past him.

"Ma'am hold on, you dropped this." He said walking to me.

I stopped and turned around slowly. "Dropped what?" I raised an eyebrow. He was gonna have to try harder than that.

"Ya money." He held a crisp 20 dollar bill in his hands with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

"Oh shit, thanks." I smiled gently and grabbed it from him.

"You look dumb familiar..." He said with a confused look. "Vonna?"

I rolled my eyes and tilted my head to the side. "You look dumb familiar too, Khairo?"

Khaillurah laughed gently and looked me up and down. "Wow I haven't seen you since a few months ago I believe. I was wishing I could run into your pretty fresh face again. Didn't recognize you with the hair, it's lovely on you by the way."

"Thanks, I wanted to be bold and try some color. It was either blonde or pink but pink is more my suitor." I smiled wide at him. Everybody was really digging this pink hair.

Last time I ran into Khaillurah, I seen him outside the restaurant me and Dajon were supposed to have eat at. I wasn't sure who he was with since he was sitting at a table with a group but I didn't want to stare too long before Dajon noticed. Besides, Khai must've thought he was my nigga so he didn't want to intrude anyways.

"I gotta give credit when it's due mamas, you been on my mind ever since we first met but I guess you were in a rush to be with ya lil boyfriend or whatever." He looked at me seriously before he started chuckling softly.

"Khaillurah.." I said and sighed, smiling.

"Oh yea they call me Chank if you get tired of saying my name." He said, looking me up and down.

I blushed lightly and rolled my eyes. "I'm not too fond on calling boys by their street names. Besides I love your name. It's different, think I'll name my son that."

"I've always wanted a junior." He smirked and leaned back against the boxes. "Street names? Mamas that's a family nickname. I don't be out here in these streets. I chase that bag in the most legal way ever. Welcome to my job, love."

"Oh you work here? Free discounts for me." I laughed and flipped my hair over my shoulder.

"Oh no not here ma, hell nah. I do orders for stores and drop off their inventory and shit. It's a good paying job, especially since I gotta drive my own truck to do this kinda stuff so yea I'm making big bank." He shrugged his shoulder.

I laughed at my own stupidity. "Oh duh, that's why you're unloading boxes and shit. I thought you worked here but then again I'm like 'well why he not in his uniform'." I laughed again and looked him up and down. "I work at McDonald's but I just got this new job at Denny's as a hostess."
