Prompt: Rachel and Chloe meet as kids

Rachel's POV

It's my first day at Blackwell Elementary and I'm so excited! I can't wait to meet my teacher and make new friends! My Dad walks into the room. "Hey kiddo, ready to start you first day of 5th at Blackwell Elementary?" He asks. "Yes Dad!" I say happily. "Go downstairs, your Mother has made breakfast" He says rubbing my head. "Ok, thanks Dad" I say.

I go downstairs and hug my Mom. "Morning Mom" I say smiling. "Good Morning Sweetheart" My mom says smiling back. My Dad comes downstairs and kisses Mom on the cheek. "Morning Rose" He says. "Morning Dear, Rachel your breakfast is on the table." She says. I sit down at the table and started eating.

A little bit later I finished eating and I grab my backpack then run to the door. "Ready to go kiddo?" My Dad asks. I nod then we go to the car.

*At School*

I'm trying to look for Ms.Grant's classroom until I see someone push a girl against a locker making her fall. I look in her direction and see nobody help her up. What kind of place is this?! I go up to the girl and hold my hand out to her. She rubs the back of her head then looks at me. "Hi I'm Rachel." I say looking down at her and smiling. A light blush appears on her cheeks when she looks at me.

She takes my hand and I help her up. "I'm Ch-Chloe, thank you for helping me." She says with her high voice. "No problem, it's my first day here, do you know where Ms.Grant's classroom is?" I ask. "Oh, I'm in that class you can follow me." She says smiling. "Lead the way." I say. A few minutes later we enter a class and all eyes were on me. I see a few boys look at me with dirty looks.

Chloe takes me to who I'm assuming is Ms.Grant. She looks at me and smiles. "Are you Rachel Amber?" She asks. I nod my head. "Nice to meet you. You can sit in any seat that is empty." Ms.Grant says. "Ok, thank you" I say. I look around for an empty seat at a table and I see one where Chloe is at.

I sit down next to her. "Hi Chloe" I say. "Hey Rachel, these are my friends Steph and Mikey." She says gesturing to the two kids at the table. "Hi" I say. "Greetings and Salutations, I'm Mikey." A boy with glasses says. "This is Steph." Chloe says gesturing to the girl with beanie. "Good day." Steph says.

"Chloe, Mikey, Rachel, and Steph go to lab station #2" Ms.Grant says. We're gonna mix up chemicals. Chloe got so excited about it, she's so cute. We go to the lab station and put the safety goggle's on. "I'll do the magic and you guys tell me what to do." Chloe says stretching her hands. "Gotcha. Step one, add in 1 ounce of water. " Steph says reading off the paper. I hand Chloe the water and she pours it in the beaker.

"Next" Mikey says. "A mililiter of vinegar." Steph says. Mikey gets the vinegar and gives it to me then I give it to Chloe. She pours it in. "What are we making again?" Chloe asks. "I have no idea" Steph says scratching her head while looking at the paper. "Let's kick it up a notch" Chloe says mischievously.

"Chloe you're kidding right?" Mikey asks. "Nope." Chloe says. "You do remember what happened last time when you quote on quote kicked it up a notch?" Steph asked. "Elliott didn't mind getting sent to the hospital. So now get me some light corn syrup and cornstarch " Chloe orders. "Are you sure this is going to work?" I ask. "65%, I saw a guy online do this, trust me." Chloe says. "Don't trust her." Steph whispers to me.

I couldn't help but laugh a little. "I guess I'll do it by myself." Chloe says walking to a cabinet and grabbing the stuff. She goes back to the beaker. "Chloe no!" Steph whispers shouts so she won't alert the teacher. "Relax it's gonna be fine." Chloe says before mixing the stuff in the beaker. Steph grabs my arms and takes me and Mikey to the other side of the counter and we crouch down. We hear a fizzling sound coming from the beaker.
