Hailey quickly got up and took her switchblade out. She goes no where without it. The sound got louder and Hailey walked towards the noise. Then she heard laughter and quickly went behind the bush to see the guys in leather jackets.
"What the fuck. Were you guys following me," Hailey said putting away the switchblade. "Nah, we just came here and saw you so, we thought it would be funny to scare you," the shorter one said. "Haha so funny," she said sarcastically and rolled her eyes.
"Now don't go rolling your eyes at us Darling," the other one said. She sighed and snapped back "I can do whatever I want Darling." He laughed and said "You could make a great serpent with that type of attitude." Hailey was confused at what he just said.
"What the hell is a serpent," She asks. Both the men look at each other and one says "Well the Serpents are a gang and the Southside of town. Most Northsiders think we sell drugs and commit crimes but, we do none of that." He explained. She put all the piece together. "That's why my sister said that. She thinks you are Douchebags." They nodded.
They talked and Hailey checked the time. "Shit, my dad is gonna kill me." They both looked confused. "Well if you are wondering. When I lived in New York I would always sneak out or come home late. My dad had enough and sent me to a disciplinarian school. He thought it would help me but, it didn't."
They looked shocked. She just shrugged it off. "Well gotta go and by the way, my name is Hailey." "I'm Fangs and this is Sweetpea," Fangs said. Hailey though why does everyone in this town have weird names. "Weird names but, I like it." They nodded.
"Well gotta go," She said walking off but then someone grabbed her wrist gently. "Let me drive you home." It was Fangs. Hailey smiled "Okay let's go." Fangs brought Hailey to his bike. When she saw the bike, she was amazing. "I love your bike," she said smiling. "Thanks, I've had her since I could remember, now here you go," he said giving her a helmet.
She grabbed it and put it on. Fangs got on the bike. Then Hailey jumped on the bike and grabbed onto Fangs side. They sped off to the Pembrooke.
