Everything I touch will burn to ash. The flames danced around the trees like a waltz at midnight. The blaze walking along side me. I walked further into the forest until I could see the top of the totem pole. Atop it sat a crow silently observing my devouring conflagration. I respect this crow. This isn't just any bird, this is spirit. A guidance, in other words an observant protector. The light of the moon is no match for my sunset. I closed my eyes and sighed I'm not afraid to let the fire lick at my skin. I lifted my hand to signal to the spirit to accompany me. She perched herself upon my wrist. "Show yourself." I whispered to her. She fluttered quietly to the ground. The crow started to grow larger until I could see the chest of a little girl appear on the ground taking the place of the bird. Her head tilted up in confusion. Her blue eyes examined the combustion and she looked into my eyes and instantly stood up. Her pale body was frail and cold. ¨You can't keep doing this.¨ She sighed . Suddenly she inhaled and let out a piercing scream and ran into the fire. I could hear her screams die down until I heard nothing more.
I woke up in a puddle of sweat. Damn the same dream again? I quickly pull out my phone and texted Chloe
R: Chloe I had the same weird fire dream again!😨
C: That's hella fucked up, also no emoji!!
R: Chloe this is serious to me at least.
C: Yeah sorry Rachel I get over things with my crude humor, my apologies. Here's an idea let's have lunch at two whales at 1:45!😊 ^^
R: Of course babe! We can talk more then. I also thought this was a no emoji situation.😂
C: 🙄
I flipped my phone over onto my bedside table and smiled to myself. I'm so lucky to have Chloe. The past four years flash by my vision meeting her, at the Firewalk gig, her in the tempest with me and her just being my angel.
