During lunch one day, the roommates were talking about what they want to do on the next market day. Youngmin and Min-Jun were planning on visiting the snack booths and stocking up in the room so they can have late night snacks of Seaweed chips and strips of meat. U-Jin and Byeon-Ho talk about how they are going to mess around with one of the other Hwarang members later, some tricks up their sleeves.
Hyonjun, however, was sitting at the corner of the table. He was silent and brooding. He has been having a much more difficult time getting along with these people. Especially Youngmin. Everyone was always happy and laid back.
"I think I'm going to find a girl." Hyonjun blurts out.
Everyone just stares. The group is silent, all wondering if somethings wrong.
"I want to have fun, so why not find a girl? I even have a few in mind." He stares at Youngmin as he says this. There is a glint in his eyes as Youngmin looks at Min-Jun.
"Why are you looking at me?" Questions Young-min.
With a straight face, Hyonjun answers with, "How's your sister doing? Sang Ji-Woo, I believe."
Youngmin stiffened, everyone did. "Don't you dare lay a hand on her." He grinds his teeth and his hands ball into fists.
"Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it?"
Min-Jun stands up with Youngmin, but stops him from moving.
"Youngmin, it's not worth it. Just let it go, he's just trying to get you angry."
"Whatever."
Youngmin pushes by and walks around the table. As he passes by Hyonjun, he pauses. With a quick twist, Hyonjuns head snaps to the side. Youngmin's hand stays in the air. Hyonjun presses a hand against his cheek before glaring at Youngmin.
"All right then." And he launches himself at Youngmin, fists blazing.
At first, everyone else just watches. But when they bump into people, causing others to hit each other, everyone starts fighting. There's just pent up anger and energy that gets cut loose. Most of the attacks were hand to hand. Quickly, Min-Jun reached down and grabbed a cup of water and threw it upon his opponent. The warrior froze in shock, water dribbling down his face. People around him stop for a second before they started using their lunches against each other. Rice, beans, dog meat, all fly around as trays are thrown and swung. People are yelling at each other and cries of pain ring out.
The headmaster stands off to the side. Water and beans spray out in front of him as U-Jin stumbles in front of him. U-Jin falls to his knees in front of the headmaster and looks up. His head tilts before passing out. The headmaster clicks his tongue while surveying the tiring Hwarang as the petty fights continue. He walks down the hallway into the classroom. In there sits a gong next to the door. He calls over one of the servants and has them hit it. All of the fighting stops as the headmaster walks back in to the lunchroom. He looks over everyone as they stagger back and forth, some bleeding on the arms, some bleeding on the face.
"Who started this? Who made this mess? Who will be going home?" The disappointment is very clear in his face. No one speaks but the heavy breathing increases as they become afraid. "Well? Who was it?!" he spins around, spit flying out of his mouth.
Youngmin takes a step forward. "I started this sir." Youngmin stands tall, his hands folded behind his back. He looks straight at the headmaster, not giving slight attention to the cut on his forehead or his busted lip.
Min-Jun starts spluttering but Youngmin cuts him off. "I was the one who started the fighting and the mess, sir."
"Did you? Then you will take the punishments. After you get looked at by the doctor, I will deal with you." He walks away, needing a cup of tea.
