Genre: Angst
Summary: It hurt when he loved someone else. It hurt when his girlfriend wanted to separate him from you. But it was even more heartbreaking when you found out he was your other half.
Park Jimin was a real angel in disguise. The boy whom everybody loved, whom my mom praised everytime she saw him. He was the guy who could make even the saddest person in the planet laugh, his existence itself was calming. His laugh was equal to the ringing bells, his warm embrace could cure diseases. He was my everything and there was no other person whom I could call you like this.
This boy came to my life, when I needed someone the most. I was the outcast in middle school, whom everyone avoided as much as they could without taking a look. I felt horrible in those years - I wasn't rich, I wasn't pretty, I wasn't anything. I had pretty good grades though but my grades had never cheered me up.
I was a loner, I sat at the back of the noisy, crowded classroom, all alone. Even if I had seatmates, they only used me for my brain, then made fun of me behind my back, telling jokes about me to their friends.
People say we can feel the change when it comes. On the first day of my last year in that school I heard loud whispers around me.
"Ah, new classmate?"
"Is it a boy or a girl?"
"Why did someone transfer to this school for the last year?"
I didn't pay any attention to them as per usual. I didn't expect anything from the new student, I learned how to deal with the loneliness but I secretly prayed for the divine powers to give me someone who wouldn't look down on me like the others did. At least not that much.
I didn't look up but I knew someone came in, judging by the changed atmospehere. The whole classroom went silent.
I heard our teacher's voice. "You must be the new student. Would you be so kind as to introduce yourself, mister?"
That was when I glanced up to a boy next to our teacher's desk. He let out a friendly aura, his eyes ressembled to the stars in the sky and he seemed to be pretty excited to be here. Behind his mask, I knew he was nervous as hell but I was sure he would fit in just fine. He was handsome, a real pretty boy, no one would hate him.
"Hello, I'm Park Jimin, please take care of me!" He chirped and flashed a warm smile, he tried to look at everybody from the class, I was the last one whom he looked at but he didn't stop staring at me.
"Jimin, as a new student would you like to sit in the front or in the middle? I will ask someone to sit behind..."
"Sorry but actually I would like to sit at the back of the classroom. I see there's an empty seat." Jimin said and my eyes widened but I could hear the others' gasps, too. No one had ever wanted to sit next to me. No one.
"Alright, then your seat is next to Miss Y/L/N." Mr. Lee said, Jimin nodded and started to go to his place. Jimin clearly ignored the utterly surprised faces and he was just smiling. If I had been him, I would have felt awkward but as I saw, he didn't care about them.
As he sat down, Mr. Lee started talking about the last year's school events, Park Jimin turned his body to me and gave me a friendly smile once again.
"Hey, seatmate, what's your name?"
"Y/N."
"So L/N Y/N, nice to meet you. I hope you will endure me sitting with you."
And I endured. God finally listened to my pleads, making the new guy, Park Jimin my one and only best friend. Only seeing his eyesmile made my day hundred times better so if he was absent, I felt even more lonelier. I learned a lot about his life - Park Jimin was the only child of his parents, who had battled with his weight years before we met, who became a player of our football team. He was the boy, who had dreams... he dreamt of finding his soulmate, getting a well-paid job, having a pretty big and loving family. I was a constant visitor at the Parks just like he visited our home almost every weekend. My mom almost fainted how handsome and polite he was.
