15 - Should've known

Hey, so this story is getting too heavy for me to continue, so I'm cutting it off now. This is the last chapter of the book and it might contain touchy subjects such as RAPE, INCEST, MENTAL ILLNESS and a few other things.

Running down the Street like an actual maniac, them hot on my tail. Holding Sungmin's hand we ran to wherever it might be safe, safe away from them. We had finally managed to escape their grasp, and we were out of their confinement.

We really hadn't planned this out. We were finally reaching the crouded streets, those dreaded stares of craziness that now seemed out salvation. Being chased by bloody faces was not an usual, the children had their eyes covered by the hands of their parents, not to see what was displayed infront of them.

It had been difficult to even escape, having to beat them up so we would even get a chance, though I let Sungmin do the dirty work. He got wounded too, to the point where he was limping and half of his body weight was on me, slowing us down. But it didn't matter, there was far too many people here for them to be able to do anything about it.

I looked back but I could no longer see them, probably hiding from the passersby's sights. We were finally safe. There were some patrols going around the zone, probably alerted by the people. They rushed towards us and helped up Sungmin, who was desperately trying to stay conscious. We could hear sirens blaring in the backgroung, an ambulance was on it's way.

They got Sungmin in and I went in with him, sitting while watching how the paramedics worked. The fight had been savage, three against one, those three even armed. I'm surprised he was not wounded that bad even after how merciless and unforgiving they were to him. No one asked questions, just supposing that it was one of those 'teenage fights'.

We shortly arrived at the hospital and they separated us, nurses guiding me to a room so they could clean few wounds that had appeared after the constant falling while running, knees completely scrapped, oh the memories, a few bruises had managed to make their way to my face too. Last time I ran away I ended up in similar conditions, though I only had to look after myself back then.

I was let off quickly, Sungmin not as lucky as I. He would have to stay here atleast for two nights, the dosctors had said. Deciding that it was the saftest place for him to be at, I made my mind and went out of the hospital, planning our escape.

I went back to the street where the motel from last time was located. I hurried inside and asked for a room for one, only two nights and the a silent stay. The lady seemed to recognise me, how long had it been since I was here? She seemed eary about my bruised face and said something.

"Oh! You're the one from the news of a year ago! " She sentenced. I tilted my head to the side, clearly confused.
 "Yeah! You were on the news for months, right after you left the motel." I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Really? What did the news say? " "Said you had gone missing, I was tempted to call the pólice and inform them that you had been staying here, but you asked me to not share any information to anyone about your stay, so I didn't, you did pay kindly after all." She grinned at me mischeviously and I smiled sweetly at her, grabbing the key to my room from her hand and bowing my head, going into the elevator.

This motel was pretty big to be honest, atleast 3 stories. My room was located on the second floor, room 207. I would stay there until the hospital called, informing that he had finally woken up. I layed on the bed and fell asleep, the euphoria of the day finally leaving my body, draining me in the process, adn so I fell into a sweet deep slumber.

Time Skip 2 Days After

I was going to the hospital to pick Sungmin up, he was finally getting released and I was sure he wouldn't have a clue how to get to the motel by himself, so I woke up early and headed towards the main streets again. I would get there shortly and he was supposed to be waiting for me at the entrance.
