Two: The First Mission

Haley walked into her room and over to her closet she barely ever opened anymore. She pulled out the one and only suit she hadn't worn in a while, she didn't even have a good name for when she wore it. That's because it was only worn once, and there was a horrible outcome from it. She hasn't worn it since.
She sighs to herself, "I should've walked away." she says, just above a whisper.
She then went to her bathroom right off of her bedroom and changed. It felt out of place for her, it just didn't feel as good as it did when she first put it on.
When she looked in the mirror, she froze. Flashbacks of that day filled her mind, causing her to start crying. Haley never wanted to live that day again, she had nightmares about it for months afterward.
She then heard her bedroom door open, then close, causing her to walk out of her bathroom without even thinking. She was a bit confused, but that thought quickly diminished when she saw none other than Dani standing in her room.
"Dani." was all she could say.
"Hales!" Dani gasped, "I haven't seen you in that since... you know..." he says, her excitement dialing down towards the end.
"I know. I missed you, so much." Haley says with a sigh. She then walked over and hugged her friend.
Haley needed this. She needed this now more than ever. She didn't know what the outcome of this mission would be, but she prayed that it wouldn't turn out like it did before: pure agony.
Once her and Dani pulled away, Nat came in Haley's room and told her that it was time to go, meaning that Dani would already have to leave.
"C-Can Dani come? She'll stay on the jet, nobody will know that she's there." Haley asks Nat. Haley definitely did not want to say goodbye to her best friend already.
"It's not smart, Hales, but it's up to you whether you bring a plus-one. Would her parents allow it?" she replies.
"They probably wouldn't notice if I just dropped dead on the floor for a good two weeks. Between their jobs and such, they're never around anymore. Besides, it's Haley, they'd let me go anyway and have no problem with it." Dani says to Nat.
"Alright, you need to be careful, Danielle." Nat says in an alerting tone, then walks out of the room.
"We're going to have so much fun!" Haley says as her and her best friend jump up and down in excitement.
"I know! I never expected this to happen, us spending more than 10 minutes together again!" Dani replies.
Haley frowns upon hearing that. She had been cooped up in her room for so long, and Dani had been focusing on her music. Things finally felt right again, and Haley was excited about that.
Wanda then walked into the room with Clint and Tony. Sooner rather than later, Bruce, Nat, Steve, and Thor then walked in the room. Dani soon began to silently fangirl over Thor just being in the room, whereas Thor was just a normal person to Haley at this point.
"Alright," Tony then says, "Let's do this, together."
The whole group then boarded onto the plane, all except for Tony, "I have to get on the second jet later, I have someone to pick up." he then says.
"Wait, Dad, what do you mean?" Haley asks.
"I have someone to pick up, kid. I'll meet you all there, I promise. This is important." her Father replies.
"Okay." Haley says.
Tony then exits the plane and the group began to take off. Haley couldn't help but think about what her Father was doing. Who was he picking up? Why was it important? Many questions went through her head as she looked out the window and saw nothing but blue skies and fluffy white clouds.
After a few minutes, Haley slowly but surely fell asleep next to her best friend until the plane landed hours later.

Peter was walking home from Ned's house when he got a call from Happy. He then so happily picks up the phone, "Hey, Happy! What's up? Are there any new missions? Do you need any help? Are you in trouble? Are you-"
Happy quickly cuts Peter off, "Yes. There's a new mission. Mr. Stark is waiting for you outside your apartment. Don't want to wake Aunt May. Hurry back home, kid." he says, then quickly hangs up.
Peter then smiles, puts his phone back in his pocket, then practically skipped back to his apartment to meet the one and only Tony Stark yet again.
"H-Hey, Mr. Stark! How's it going?" Peter asks as casually as he possibly can.
Tony then sighs, almost in defeat, "Kid, I need your help."
"There's another mission? I'm invited?!" Peter asks excitedly, still not taking in Tony's seriousness.
"Yes, this is serious. There's a new threat coming to the city and we need your help and we need a lot of it." Tony says, almost at a whisper.
Peter then understands just how serious Tony was being. He then sighs, "What do I have to do?"
"Get on a plane with me and the Avengers right now, and we have a new recruit, too." Tony replies as he starts to head back down the hallway.
"Okay. Hold on a second!" Peter whispers.
Tony then turns around, "What? What am I waiting for now?" he asks impatiently.
"I-I need my suit... it's in my room." Peter replies.
Tony then sighs in frustration, "Go get your suit, hurry up!" he says.
Peter then enters his apartment quickly but quietly, he was careful not to wake his Aunt May.
Only a few minutes later, Tony sees a red and blue flash fly past the window at the end of the hallway. He sighs, laughs to himself, then heads towards the elevator to go meet Spiderman outside.
Once outside, Tony meets Spiderman and the two get in the back of Happy's car. The drive to the airport was not too long, once they boarded Tony's other private plane, the two were on their way to their designated destination.

Once Tony and Peter landed, they had to get to the other Avengers, and fast. They were most likely getting ready to fight the enemy, and Tony didn't want his daughter, and his friends, to fight without him by their side.
Tony then suits up, and within a couple seconds, he was Iron Man.
"Hurry up, Kid." he says to Peter, and Peter nods.
Tony then begins to fly over to the group, they were in their line of vision. Peter was webbing from building to building to keep up with Tony. The two soon arrived to meet their friends in time to make a plan.
Peter then lands in front of the Avengers, next to Tony, and he takes a look at the people he once fought with, and against. Then, he looks at the new recruit, and he thought he was seeing things.
Haley was the new recruit?

I realized that I'm probably gonna be writing a lot of short chapters for this one.
