He seriously didn't know for how long he'd have to do this but he was totally ready to face everything. From his ignorance to his intimacy, from his harsh words to the sweet nonsense he'd whisper to his ear. From those days he'd have to stay all alone, to the days he'd get to spend at least one hour with him. From those moments when he would have to hide the truth, to the moments when he would just spill out everything to his diary.
Yes, to his diary. Because Hanbin could trust no human being in this world where everyone had turned their back on him since- since God knows when. And it was so hard for him at first, but time heals everything. Or at least that's what he was trying to persuade himself to believe in. It took him a pretty much long time to get over all this rejection not only by the society as a whole but by his family too. However, in the end he made it. Because he knew he was strong. He truly was.
"I absolutely believe you should minimize your visits, Mr. Kim" the tall brunette man standing in front of him said, earning a sigh from him. This was the.. fifth time probably that he had said that to him but Hanbin wouldn't change his mind even if someone paid him millions.
"Sorry to disappoint you doctor Jung but I won't stop coming no matter what you say. Plus, the results ain't out yet so you can't know if I have a negative effect on him" he rolled his eyes and walked away from the doctor, heading to the room.
The room no.2. He knew it way too well. He had been entering that room for years now, he clearly couldn't forget where it was. And that's also why two was his favourite number. Second building, second floor, second room. The number 2 was all he could think about once he was about to visit him, all he could think about those last years.
As always, he stood in front of the usual desk, handing the young lady all his stuff and then walking over to the second room. The guard took the key out of his pocket and slowly and carefully unlocked the door for him. He closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. Oh how many times had he done this? It had now become his daily routine.
The door swang open and it wouldn't be an exaggeration if he'd say he was not surprised at all. Every single time, with no exception, he would be doing the same thing. Sitting in front of the small wooden desk, a black inked pen in his right hand and that same old notebook laying on the desk.
The older boy turned and looked at Hanbin, his eyes glimmering with excitement for a moment before his gaze turned again to that same, boring one, he always had. The shorter boy sighed softly and with slow steps, approached him and laid his hands on his shoulders, gently massaging them. The older boy had no reaction at the beginning, being all tensed by the sudden contact of his warmth with his cold body. But soon enough his body's muscles relaxed under his tender touch.
"How've you been?" Hanbin whispered softly while his left hand traveled up to his head, his fingers getting all tangled up with his freshly dyed hair.
"Same. You?" Jiwon finally spoke after a few minutes of complete silence, that seemed like a century to the younger male.
"Me too. Nothing really changed" he sighed and stepped back when he saw him getting up from his chair. And there he was now, standing in front of him.
Okay, at first sight Jiwon wasn't really Hanbin's type but the hell- who cares? It was him. His one and only. And he wouldn't give a fuck whether he was the ideal one according to his ideal type. Just looking at him, standing so close him, made his brain malfunction for some minutes, thus making him totally unable to understand how he was now pinned against the wall, his lips on his own.
Jiwon would never lose his intimacy. Hanbin had admitted that to himself, so when he stepped inside the room and felt his loved one's delicate hand landing on his cheek, he could clearly hear his heart breaking into million pieces once again. It had been a long time since he had last laid a hand on him and that's why he got so surprised. If it wasn't for Jinhwan, he'd get out the room immediately, but his visit had a really important purpose that day. He clenched his teeth to endure the pain in his own silent way and soon after, he opened his mouth.
"Jinhwan is getting married" he said casually and stood some meters away from him, close to the door.
"What about you?" Jiwon asked the former out of the blue. Like this was a pretty normal question for them. Like they didn't know what marriage meant. Because for both of them, behind this word, there was hidden a whole story. One of those you wish they're never told.
"I have actually promised to myself to get married once you're out of here. You know, it takes two people for marriage" Hanbin chuckled bittersweetly while he just shook his head.
"Hanbin" he paused for a moment. "Seriously.." he sat on his bed. "Don't wait for me" he then looked up at him, looking into his oh so mesmerising eyes. Because no matter how normal they were, they'd never cease to look unique in his eyes.
And so their eyes met. For the last time. Jiwon knew. Hanbin didn't. And people around the latter would always wonder how he could deal with everything that was going on in his life. How he could keep that smile on his face no matter what. Little did they know that their relationship had both its ups and downs. It was just another normal relationship. What if Jiwon was a patient in a psychiatric clinic? What if Hanbin was visiting him every other day?
Because what really mattered in the end was the unconditional love Hanbin was giving Jiwon. And even after many years, when people would ask him what's true love for him, only a word could be formed and slip out of his mouth.
"Jiwon"
