Calum had been having troubles with work- they hadn't been paying him correctly, and he'd been struggling to pay his bills, leading to his inevitable eviction. Of course Ashton was there immediately, he'd offered for Calum to move into his house- well more his parents house than his own. Calum was a lot more independent than Ashton, Ashton depended on other people for his safety- he couldn't always judge situations and it often led to bad situations.
