I ran through the woods as fast I can. I was a wolf right now. This always clears my head. I saw a few people and avoided them. I started to head back to the Academy when I heard someone behind me. I stopped in my tracks and turned back into human form. The person came running out of the woods with vampire speed.
"Crystal your dad is looking for you," it was Ivy. She was like the person who watched me when my dad would go on recruiter missions.
"Ivy I'll be back soon I just need some air."
"Well get back, your dad wants you to give tours to the new kids."
"Fine," I started running with my vampire speed. Oh yea, I'm a tribrid. My mother a human with vampire powers and she also was a werewolf. My grandmother was a siphoner witch so that's where I get that from. I am the only one of my kind at the Academy. It sucks a lot of the time, but it has its advantages.
Ivy ran after me and caught up. She trained me how to use my vampire side and Bella helped with the witch side. My werewolf side still has some work to do, but it's coming together. I just want to leave this place so I need to learn complete control.
I got to the Academy and walked in. I saw about 50 new kids. "Ivy are you serious?"
"Yes Crystal! Now get to work!" I walked over to a group of kids and started to show them around. I saw a guy named Kyle. He looked mysterious and I have to keep my eye on him. He was with a girl named Zara and another guy named Nico. Nico and Zara must be siblings. I turned the corner and saw Tessa and her 'squad' of mean girls. She walked by me and I turned to the group of kids behind me.
"Watch out for those three! They will try and destroy you if you cross them." I said with a smile.
"Noted!" They all said and then laughed. I headed to the dorms where the tour was ending. I showed each of them a room and each got one. I left the kids and walked to the cafeteria. I saw Willow and Lyla talking. I walked over to them and sat down.
"Hey girls," I said not cheerfully at all. Lyla looked at me. "What's wrong?" She asked.
"Oh nothing I just wasted half my day showing the new kids around." I told them. They both laughed at me.
"That's why I'm glad I don't have a parent who is a teacher here." Willow said.
"Well your dads are both very famous. That would be worse."
"Yea, that would." Lyla chimed in.
"But I don't have to see them all the time in the hallways." I nodded in agreement. "True"
We got up and walked around looking at all the new people.
"Wills, where's your brother," Lyla asked.
"Somewhere here probably messing with new girls." She said and then rolled her eyes. "I love him, but he doesn't respect women." I watched Lyla's facial expression. Willow didn't know, but I knew Lyla liked Mark. I would never tell Willow or Mark though. I saw Jack coming out of his room or I assume is his room. He hugged Willow and they kissed.
"I'm glad I don't have to be like you two," I said with a weird face.
"Don't you want to be happy, Crystal." Willow asked.
"Why can't I be happy without a man, I'm perfectly fine now." Just as I said that Griffin walked down the hall in my direction. I wouldn't say I like him. He's just a great person to look at. He was followed by Mark. They were friends.
"Hey Crystal," Mark said as he walked past me. He nudged Griffin and I quickly started to walk down the hall away from there. I got to the grand entrance and saw Millie talking to my mom. I ran over to them leaving Willow, Lyla, and Jack behind.
"Millie!" I gave her a hug. "Mom how are you," I also gave her a hug.
"Good good, Crystal make sure to keep an eye on Millie this year." She smiled at Millie. Millie was extremely shy and barely talked to anyone. She came out last year to me as bi and she told me she was dating this girl, Grace. I told her not to trust her because Grace is a mean person and doesn't like anyone but herself. I was right. They broke up a few months ago.
"I know mom! I always do." I smiled and then hugged mom again. "Bye I'll see during parent visit week." I grabbed Millie's hand walked her up to where Willow and them were waiting for me. I lead them into my room. We all spread out and relaxed and just talked about our summers. Mine was right here at the Academy. I visited my mom a few times and Millie came here and we hung out also. Once we were finished with all of the summer stories, I heard a knock at the door. Then a note slipped underneath the door. I walked over and picked it up.
Dear Crystal,
Get ready for a great year!
