Destinee and Ben left school for a few days because Gage and Ivy knew they killed him. Uncle Greyson's funeral was today and I was getting ready with my mom and sister.
"You two look pretty," my mom said to me and Crystal.
"Thanks," Crystal said. I just looked down. This is the saddest I have ever seen my mom. She usually is strong and doesn't show much sadness. Right now though, she cries every night to bed for the last week since Greyson's death. All of our family are coming in town.
"Ok I'm gonna go check on Mark and Grace. They are waiting for me." I said to Crystal. She is going to stay with our mom and make sure she doesn't do something she'll regret. I walked to the backyard of the academy. That's where we were having the funeral service. I saw Mark, Grace, and Willow sitting in the second row. I sat down in between Grace and Mark.
"How's Rocco?" I asked Mark. He looked down at the ground.
"He hasn't talked to me since the dance." I hugged him. He smiled, but that went away quickly. Everyone else started to come take their sits for the service. I saw Ella and Ryland and Lexi sitting further back behind me. Danny, Kevin, and Sawyer sat right in front of us. Logan and Poppy sat in the front row with a twin in each lap. Sophia and Sara were behind me as well. I looked over at Ivy who hasn't stopped crying since she found out about Greyson's death. Ivy and Greyson were dating for a long time before you know his death. I started to cry when I saw everyone crying. I saw my dad and mom walk down the isle with Crystal behind them. They sat in front of me. A Blade member came forward and went up to the mic to speak about Greyson.
"I remember Greyson from the Blade Academy in Europe. He was a fast learner and wanted to be a teacher so he could help kids who went through something like he did." He looked at my mom who was balling now. "He told me all the stories about his father and his mother who abandoned him and his sister, Stella and didn't tell them about their brother, Logan." He looked around at all the faces of the crying people. "I just hope in Greyson's last few moments, he wasn't completely alone. He was such a nice man who loved everyone he came across no matter how many times they hurt him." He looked behind everyone to a person standing. It was Avery.
She sat down. My mom stood up and walked over to the mic.
"My brother, when we were younger fell in love with someone who didn't love him back. She left him hurt and broken. That's why he wanted to go to Europe to the Blade Academy there." She never took her eyes off Avery. Avery was crying. I have never seen Avery cry. "She is here today and she hasn't seen Greyson in years and she just comes and then expects us to forgive her." She was so angry.
A few more people got up and talked about Greyson's life and then the funeral was over. There was food in the academy cafeteria. Everyone went into get food and talk and celebrate Greyson's life. I stood up with my dad and mom who were walking over to Avery.
"Avery you need to leave." My dad yelled at her after everyone else went to get food. I was shocked that it was my dad yelling at Avery.
"No I came to celebrate my old best friends life." Avery said to him.
"No Avery, you do need to leave and never come back or I will personally find away to kill you. You knew how much Greyson loved you when we were younger and you just led him on until you left and broke him. He left me to figure things out because you hurt him." My mom shouted at Avery. Avery took a few seconds, but then she responded.
"I did love him, he was the only person who actually liked me after I came back as a vampire. Everyone else wanted nothing to do with me. And for your information, I kept in touch with him after I left. We dated for awhile and he was done with my shit so he came back to the US to be Headmaster here." She ranted on.
"No he would have told me if he was dating you. He told me everything." My mom said in shock.
"I guess he didn't tell you everything. I love him and I will find a way to bring him back no matter what I have to do." She said and then bolted away.
"I think I know where she is going! She is going to find Miles," I said and looked at Crystal.
"We need to get there first!" My mom yelled.
