My mum called a plumber because our sink was flooding the downstairs hall.I was just writing a book and then I smelled smoke. My bedroom, mind you,is upstairs. And the smoke was coming from downstairs. It was really strong. So I decided to see what was going on.I was only 7 at the time, too.I was still timid, and sill shy."M-mummy? Mummy where are you?" I called, the house filled to the brim with smoke.I kept coughing and I couldn't see a thing."Mummy?"I yelled once more."Mummy what's going on? Mummy?! Mummy wh-" I paused. There was a fire down stairs. The fumes growing larger by the minuet.

'Is mummy okay? Where's mummy?' I thought, not realizing I was passed out, laying on the floor.I woke up due to the heat surrounding my body. The flames were only growing, the fire department not there yet.And then there's me on the floor, being as pathetic and useless as ever.Next thing I know there's a loud thud and the roof has somehow managed to collapse, leaving me there with a large board on my back, knocking me to out cold. The last thing I remember is hearing sirens and feeling a cool substance fall onto me.Covering me.It was water.

The fire department finally came to save me

And I was so grateful.
I ended up waking up to screams and yelling firemen.I was wrapped burrito style in a warm blanket.I immediately sat up,but yelped I'm pain when I did so.I had burns, bruises, and cuts all over my small body.I didn't mind, however.I remembered my cousin was over for a slumber party and his father was just going to leave when the fire started. He hadn't even left yet when the house went up in flames. The house I grew up in.I got out of the seat I was placed into by my father and ran to the house.I was immediately was greeted by a gust of wind blowing sparks from the fire and smoke my way.Thanks.

I grabbed a heavy stick, almost the size of me,and tried to break the glass, after four hits my arms were tired and scraped up by the rough wood. But I did somehow end up breaking the glass with my petite self.I ran into the house,my legs moving on their own.The firemen tried to stop me but since I was so small he couldn't get through the glass, which was only broken on the bottom half.I found the plumber and guided him outside with my tiny hand holding tightly onto his.We both coughed through the flames, but eventually made it back to the broken glass door.I ducked a bit while he got on his knees and crawled through the hole. Our faces covered with ash,I ran back inside the house while the plumber ran to safety.I went for my cousin, who was locked inside the bathroom. He said he saw my parents die,his father, too.I could hear his cries through the wooden door."Its okay,it's okay, your daddy is in a better place now,it's okay." I said whilst trying to break the door handle with a piece of concrete. He laughs."Look at me cry while your being a hero...I'm such a baby.Im older than you and can't even do half the things you've done in an hour or so.Yuri, listen closely." He paused. My eyes widen in shock of everything he's said so far.Me? Hero? No.Im just doing the thing any normal person would do."Yuri.You are a very special girl. You're awesome! Thank you Yuri, and hey,I bet someday you'll meet another special girl just like you who will make you very happy. You can stop trying to save me.Its my time to go.Thank you,for everything.Ill always be watching over you, okay? Be a good little girl for me,okay Yuri?"
"You're not going do die onee-chan.Ill save you!" I said tears I didn't know were there falling down my cheeks."You're my hero Yuri.I love you!"

Those were the last words I heard him say before the big mean fireman came to pick me up and take me.I started flailing my arms with all the energy I had left from the smoke filling my lungs and trying do break the door handle and yelled,"NO! DONT TAKE ME,DONT TAKE ME PLEASE! MY COUSIN IS IN THERE! I HAVE TO SAVE HIM! PLEASE! PLEASE!" This pattern repeated until I,once again, passed out from exhaustion.

Flail,yell,kick.Flail,yell,kick.

I never saw my parents again.

The next day I was informed that my father saw me on the floor while the firemen were putting out the fire and took me outside to safety and ran back in to look for mother. And he never came out.Daddy is my hero.I love you daddy.
