I side stepped the conversation and ate my food "hey Chan, I have work today. can you lock up when you leave?" I said after I finished and I got up from my chair and start walking towards the sink to put the dishes in
"yeah sure" he said in English with his accent showing through. "if you wanna avoid anything weird with my room mate I suggest you get out of here in about 2 hours" I said also moving into my English vocabulary.
I looked over at him since I finished at the sink. he nodded at my comment, "by the way, did you tell your members you were at my place??" I asked him, trying to sound like my English is still stable.
but living in Korea for 3 years does a number on your English. "no I didn't. I snuck out" he said with his accent showing. as I sat there leaning against the kitchen counter, Chan seemed to be lost in thought when his head turned quickly to look at me

"what?" I asked "take today off, you're hanging with stray kids today" he said with a smirk "what do you mean?" I asked trying to remember where I left my phone. "we have to tell them the good news, if Jisung hasn't already" he said
he must mean 'good news' as in us dating. I finally remember where I put my phone. I told him I'll be right back and went back into my room and grabbed it from off charge and saw I had a miss call from Layla from a few minutes ago
I called her back and walked back into the kitchen
"hey" I said "hey I just called you to tell you that I'm getting off early today and I'll be home in 20 minutes." she said
"okay, I'm about to head out with Chan to see the rest of the group" I told her letting her know I was going to be out today "dang sounds fun. I have the rest of the off, so maybe when you get home we could watch a movie?" she asked and I hummed in approval.
I looked at Chan with pleading eyes and he nodded. I smiled cause I was so happy. "hey how about you come home and clean up, then come with us? we'll wait for you" I said and I heard a soft squeal on the other side "I would love that she replied
I hung up after saying our goodbyes and turned to Chan "thank you" I told him still keeping up with the English "you're welcome" he said with a smile
about 20 minutes later I had already called my boss and asked for the day off and he thought it was about time I got out of the house for something that wasn't work. then we were just sitting there waiting for Layla to finish getting ready before we head out
just then she walked out of her room and was wearing torn jeans with a white shirt tucked in with a badge jacket, flats and a bit of makeup.
I smiled before we grabbed out bags and left. I was wearing jeans with no tears and I shirt that could have been a dress. then I wore my trusty old converse.
we walked to the JYP building and walked right in. Chan being who he was didn't need to check in or anything. we walked to an elevator and Chan pressed 4. it didn't take long to get to our stop.
when we got there we traveled down hallways and soon we came to a door that said "Stray Kids" Chan opened the door and I walked in
"Y/nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn~~" I heard Jisung say throwing himself at me for a hug.
I laugh and hug him back before I stepped aside and looked at Layla "this is my best friend and roommate. Layla. be nice to her" I said with a smile.
"who's your bias" Woojin asked "Hyunjin" she said but that was the one who hadn't said a word this whole 5 minutes. we all turned to look at the boy and his mouth was a gaped and staring at Layla. a smirk appeared on my lips as I walked over to him after grabbing Layla's hand dragging her with me
with her hand in my right hand I took Hyunjin's hand in my left and the put their hands together and stepped away "perfect" I said sitting there admiring my master piece. I heard a few giggles as Hyunjin snapped out of his trance and realized what I did. Layla looked away while blushing, Hyunjin blushed but he couldn't stop staring at her
"just kiss her already!!" Changbin shouted like its perfectly normal to kiss someone in front of 9 people. Hyunjin looked at her like 'may I' and she nodded. he leaned in and kissed her cheek.
they both blushed, I honestly thought Hyunjin was going to faint.
we hung out for the rest of the night, we cracked jokes and played games. we just had fun. but when it came to Hyunjin and Layla they were either holding hands and in our conversations listening and participating or they were off on their own getting to know each other in the corner
but we didn't mind at all.
I'm so happy for her
"so. Chan, where were you last night?" Woojin asked Chan and he was trying to find some excuse, so instead I just spoke up and told the truth "he was at my place" I said taking a sip of my water that I brought.
we talked about that for a moment before someone asked me a question "what are you good at Y/n?" Lee Know asked and I thought for a minute before someone answered for me "she's good at everything."
"you join the conversations at the wrong time Layla" I said glaring at her and she just laughed "can she sing?" Woojin asked and Layla nodded "y/n sing us something" Jisung asked with pleading eyes and I couldn't resist
