I feel like I don't have the right to be depressed because so many other people have it worse.
Elle cried out in agony as she hugged herself for comfort. Her body was completely exposed to everyone. Some people looked disgusted while some just gave her looks of pity. Not only at her body, but at the countless scars that littered her.
The strangers all screamed insults at her as tears ran down her face. She attempted to escape, to scream, to do anything to defend herself, but she felt stuck in place as the crowd grew around her.
She could feel herself hyperventilating as they all closed in. Soon, everyone she knew had joined in, triggering Elle to have an anxiety attack as she cried in agony.
Her body was shaking and heaving, and she couldn't seem to catch her breath as her mind went fuzzy. She could hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears as she felt as though she was dying over and over.

Elle jolted awake, gasping for air as she gripped her shirt, fresh tears running down her face as she attempted to calm herself down. Shakily looking around, she let out a sigh of relief, happy to be at Rebecca's and not at her parents home. She looked at the clock, realizing she had woken up around lunch time again. Elle had an issue with waking up in the middle of the night, so she always went to bed early and woke up late. At least she got a few extra hours of sleep for once.
Elle silently sat on her bed for a few minutes as she attempted to calm down, not wanting to cause unnecessary worry to anyone that saw her shaking form. She suddenly remembered the Bitty from last night and assumed that Blue was already up, seeing as how he was nowhere to be seen in the room. Wiping her tears, she stood up, quickly fixing her hair and clothes so she didn't look as much like a zombie.
Clearing her sore throat, Elle walked out of the bedroom, scanning the living room and kitchen, only to see there was no one there. She couldn't help but smile a bit, not wanting to deal with the thousands of questions Blue was likely going to ask.
Feeling too fat to eat, she ignored the French toast waiting for her on the counter and just flopped into the soft couch cushions. Curling into a ball, she wrapped the random blanket that was laying in a crumbled ball on the floor around her. It was a dark purple color, and beyond fluffy. Though it did make her sweat from the heat at times.
Sighing contently, Elle closed her eyes, pretending for a moment that all her problems drifted away, and she could be happy. She could eat out at restaurant's without having difficulty breathing, and may even have a chance with someone. A nice man or woman, who loved Elle for being Elle. And although the daydreaming was nice at first, she could quickly feel her mind drifting to how she would never be happy, no matter what she did. And it would be better for everyone and herself if she just vanished.
A sudden bang interrupted her thoughts, causing Elle to nearly jump out of her skin as she snapped her head toward the sound. "GOOD AFTERNOON HUMAN!"
She never knew someone as small as him could be so loud. Glancing up, she saw that Rebecca was apparently thinking the same thing as she shrugged. Blue was sitting in the palm of her sisters hand, but she still didn't see Edgy anywhere. "YOUR KIND SIBLING SHOWED ME AROUND! THERE ARE MANY ANIMALS HERE, BUT I WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU WANTED TO MEET THE HORSES WITH ME! REBECCA SAID THEY WERE YOUR FAVORITE."
