I should be happy. Good things are starting to happen. So, why do I still want to die?

Elle tapped her fingers on her leg, the awkward silence making her sweat nervously. Somehow clearing his throat, Blue realized it was up to him to break the ice. "Good Evening, Friends! How Are You?"

Space raised his head from the menu, a calm smile forming on his face as he turned his attention toward Blue. "We're alright. What about you?" He asked politely, somehow not a hint of nervousness in his voice despite the still tense atmosphere.

Smiling widely, Blue walked up to him and sat down, engaging him in a conversation as they both laughed at each other's stories and jokes. Jordan seemed to be uncomfortable, making Elle's mind go into a panic to try and think of what to do. "Uh.. so. Come around here often?"

Mentally slapping herself across the face for her stupidity, she watched anxiously as the male lifted his gaze from the menu and locked eyes with her. Face burning with embarrassment, she tried to not look as awkward as she felt as he looked like he was struggling to hold back a smirk.

"I live right down the road." He stated bluntly, making Elle feel like she was about to pass out as the corners of her vision blurred. Blue was too distracted with Space's sudden flirting session to notice her anxiety attack as she opened and closed her mouth in an attempt to come up with something to say.

"Oh- I-.. Uh- C-Cool."

She wanted to die.

Jordan snorted, his chin resting on his hand as his elbow was placed on the table. "So. What do you do for fun?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow, his eyes scanning her up and down. Feeling weird from the sudden attention, she forced out a laugh, a strained smile on her face as she tried to think of something normal to say.

"Well, I enjoy caring for animals." She shrugged, making him bring his attention back to her face. He smiled softly, a small chuckle escaping his lips as he looked at her with interest.
"How cute."

Face burning, Elle felt her stomach flutter at his expression, making her scold herself for already catching feelings. "Thanks." She stuttered, making him laugh again before a waitress walked over, a plastered smile on her face as she clicked her pen.

"Hello! My name is Ollie and welcome to Olive Garden. Are we ready to order?" The female asked, preparing to write something down as her pen hovered impatiently over the notepad.

"Yup. I'll be having the Ceasar Salad and tomato soup. Space just wants the bread. And they are having.." He gestured vaguely at Blue and Elle, making them both sit up straighter in realization.

"I Would Like Some Chicken Soup, Please!" Blue requested, a finger raised in the air as he smiled at the woman. She smiled back at him before writing the items down and turning toward Elle, an expectant look on her face.

Stumbling over her words, she looked at the menu to check for the tenth time that she says it right. "Fettichini Alfredo please." She spoke quietly, slightly thankful that she had rehearsed to say those three words in her head countless times.

Nodding, the waitress scribbled something down before turning and leaving. Blue and Space immediately picked up where they left off with Blue doing most of the talking. Jordan laughed at the two, making Elle awkwardly join in as they made eye contact.
