"You're late."

As soon as M/n had stepped through the door, he was caught by Stan. "Sorry. Got held up."

"Listen, kid," he said. "If you're going to work for me, you have to be on time."

"Yeah, yeah. I got it," M/n replied.

"Hurry up and man the register. The money won't collect itself."

And with that, Stan walked away to take care of a group of customers. The (h/c)-ette sighed to himself before heading behind the counter. He heard the little bell jingle and turned to see Wendy walk in.

"Yo!" she greeted.

"Hey."

She grabbed her nametag and joined M/n behind the counter. "So, what's been happening since we last talked?"

"Not much," the (h/c)-ette replied. "I'm thinking of getting a place of my own though. I feel bad for living with R/n and having him put up with me."

"Gotcha. So, you wanna get your own place, huh?"

"Yeah."

"Are you thinking of moving away from Gravity Falls?"

M/n pondered for a second before shaking his head. "I haven't found a place yet, so I'm not sure."

"If you move away, who will I have at work to talk to?" Wendy joked, nudging his shoulder in a playful manner.

M/n chuckled. "I'll be sure to visit."

The two were oblivious to the audience they had garnered. They were too busy in their own conversation to notice two very familiar girls. "Oh, my god, Candy," Grenda whispered as she kept her gaze on M/n.

Candy looked over to where her friend had pointed and instantly felt her face heat up. "He's so cute..."

Grenda squealed and started shaking her friend back and forth. "Candy, we have to tell Mabel when she comes back tomorrow!"

"I know!" Candy replied, equally as excited.

"Hey, thanks for dropping me off," Wendy said as she stepped out of the (h/c)-ette's car.

"No problem."

The red-haired girl grinned as she began walking toward her front door. "Bye! See ya tomorrow!"

M/n waved goodbye to his friend before driving away. After having dropped off Wendy, he pulled up to a nearby convenience store and bought some (f/s) and a (f/d).

[Note: (f/s) = favorite snack, (f/d) = favorite drink)

He paid and walked back to his car only to see Robbie standing beside it. He looked like he was on the verge of punching someone. It wasn't long before he noticed that the (h/c)-ette had come back.

"Hey! M/n!"

M/n sighed heavily and looked at him. "What do you want?"

"Don't give me that! Why the hell are you hanging around Wendy all the time?" he asked. "You guys are acting way too buddy-buddy, and it's annoying as hell!"

"Why do you care?"

That answer seemed to push Robbie over the edge. He stormed over and grabbed M/n by the collar of his hoodie. But, the (h/c)-ette remained unfazed as he simply looked at Robbie with dull eyes.

"I care because I'm her boyfriend! Not you!"

Before his punch could make contact with M/n's face, a hand caught his fist. "Huh?"
