All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain, we can be like they are

*unedited* A MONTH LATER...

I run into my parent's room with my white dress on. It goes down to my midthigh and has a small slit up the side. It's strapless so my boobs can hold it up just fine. My mom walks out of the bathroom and looks at me as my dad exits the closet.

"What's wrong?" My mom asks.

"My dress doesn't fit," I state.

"Why not?" My dad asks.

I start pacing the room. "I don't know! I have been eating right and working out when I can. I don't know why I'm gaining weight," I reply.

"Don't stress, Peach. Where does it not fit?" My mom asks.

"My stomach. It's tight and Grams doesn't have time to fix it," I reply.

My mom looks at me as I stop pacing. She scans every inch of my body. "Is it really tight or just tight like you're trying to show your body off?" My mom asks.

"The second option," I reply.

"You look good! Now, we need to have a talk. Matteo go back into the closet," my mom demands.

My dad throws up his hands and goes back inside the closet. My mom walks to me and touches my stomach. She presses and then looks up at me. "There is a pregnancy test underneath the cabinet in the bathroom. Go pee on it and take it back to your room. I will be in there before we leave," my mom whispers.

I nod and go into the bathroom. I find the test and unwrap it. I go pee on it, clean up, and go back to my room. I set the test on my desk and sit on the edge of my bed.

Could there be a possibility that I could be pregnant? I don't remember much of that experience. Hopefully, I'm not. I don't want Jax to think I trapped him if I am. We are just friends and barely talk. I don't want him to stick around because of a baby, I want him to stick around because he wants to.

"Okay, I'm here," my mom says as she walks in.

"It's on my desk," I state.

She walks over to my desk and picks up the test. She stares at it and then looks at me. "Well, we have a doctors appointment to make," my mom murmurs.

"I'm sorry. This was never supposed to happen," I mutter.

"It's fine. We will get through this," my mom says. "Let's get down to your father before he comes up here."

I grab my phone and clutch. My mom and I go downstairs to see my dad and siblings waiting for us. We all pile into the car and leave. We get to our normal gala building and go inside. No wine or alcoholic beverages. This sucks.

I walk to our table and sit down. I watch everyone talk and dance around. "Would you like to dance?" I look over and see Jax standing there with his hand out.

I put my hand in his and stand up. We walk to the dance floor and start slow dancing. "Let's get to know each other, Peach," Jax says as he twirls me around.

"Why would you want to do something like that?" I ask.

"Because you're beautiful and I want to get to know you," Jax replies.

"Well, you can start tomorrow," I state. "We can meet up or I could come over and we could talk."

"I will text you the address," Jax replies.
