What if pain didn't exist?
How would we know,
the process to grow?
How would we claim,
the identity we became?
Happened to be the best teacher.
Basis of us being "the best creature"

Pain taught me affection
The reason for celebration
Pain wrote my success
Gifted me this address
Being the oldest companion
It helped me become a champion

Pain being sour,
Dulcified my life
Blossomed the brightest flower
And ended the strife

What if pain didn't exist?
How would we learn relief?
In pain, lies my strong belief.
