Recap: "Who are you?"

Xavier's POV
I stared at her as tears rolled down my face 'she doesn't remember me? She HAS to remember me' I thought. "Kailey....it's me....Xavier....your boyfriend. Do you not rem-" I was cut off by Kailey.
"Not you goof, the little girl" she said with a small smile. I looked down at Renee and smiled. I picked her up and sat her on the bed facing Kailey, "This is Reneseme, our adopted daughter. I know how you want eight kids so I figured why not start now?" I smiled "One down seven to go". Kailey looked at me, then back to Renee, and started crying. She leaned over and picked up Renee and hugged her tightly "I'll be the best mother to you, I promise"

Reneseme hugged her back just as tight "I believe you, I can feel it" she said with a smile and some tears coming down her face. I walked closer and wrapped my arms around them "My beautiful girls" I said with tears going down my face. I pulled away and sat in the chair close to the hospital bed "So" I started making the girls let go and look at me "I've been saving money for years so while you're here getting recovered I can look for a two bedroom apartment, move all our things there, and when you're both out we can go shopping for Reneseme and she can pick out what paint, clothes, bedding, and toys she wants. Maybe even a radio or record player. How does that sound?"  Both of the girls looked at me, smiled and nodded their heads vigorously at the same time, causing me to laugh.

"Wait...why are you in the hospital?" Kailey asked towards Renee. She looked down and fiddled with her hands "Some kids at the orphanage were hitting me and pushing me around, I of course fought back but they teamed up so they brought me here to see if I was okay. I asked to stay for awhile to just get away so they're giving me 2 months to stay for free" I looked at Kailey and grabbed hers and Renee's hands. "Well you don't have to worry anymore, we will protect and love you with every muscle in our bones" I said and kissed both Renee's and Kailey's heads.

Kailey scooted over and patted the bed "come lay next to me" I got up and gently layered down next to her, wrapping her in my arms. I kissed her head as soon as the doctor came in, he looked up from his clipboard and froze wide eyed "Oh, Kailey you're awake, well that's good. I'm just here to check your vitals, and since you're awake I can tell both of you. Kailey you still have to stay here for two months for your neck, ribs, and nose can heal and until the bruising goes down." We both nodded and said ok. He turned towards Renee on Kailey's lap "I see you've met Renee" he said with a smile while rubbing his hand on her head, messing up her hair "HEY! Not the hair man" she said while fixing her hair. We all laughed "Yeah, we adopted her" I popped in with a smile. The doctor smiled huge "Good, she needs a good home and I can tell you two are going to be good parents." He said with a smile. He nodded at her vitals and smiled.

"Well your vitals are good, you just need to get some food in you and drink something." He said while he was walking towards the door "Be good Renee" he patted her head and walked out. "So, do they allow pizza delivered here?" Kailey asked. Renee hopped up "For me they do!" she ran out of the room. "I guess she's getting us pizza?" Kailey asked turning to look at me with a smile on her face. I laughed and nodded, I leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips, putting one hand in her hair, and the other on her waist pulling her closer. I pulled away and touched our foreheads "I love you" I said looking into her eyes. "I love you too" she smiled.

The door opened and we looked over to see Renee with a huge smile on her face "I got them to order us a large cheese pizza, large pepperoni pizza, and cheesy bread with soda" she ran towards us and smiled sitting on our legs. Kailey and I looked at each other, smirked, looked back at Renee and jumped at her and started tickling her. 'I love hearing my girls laugh' I thought with a huge smile on my face.

I know this is long, wanted to make up for not updating this book. I wrote these when I was in middle school and it was all cringe so let's hope I can bring it out of that phase.
