Fight For Me

The cave and snow disappeared. "I don't want to rule anything. I just want to be left alone." I confessed. "Well you can have that here. You can be a king." She pushed. "Who do I have to kill?" I asked. She smiled lovingly at me. "You'll find that out when you wake." "I am awake." I replied. Her hand rested on my cheek. Ashlynn parted her lips and kissed me. "No love, not yet but it's time to wake up and take control. Regain your throne and raise your fallen brothers." She purred. I was confused by everything. It felt to real to be a dream.

"Lord Marshall, in your absence we've taken a new leader." The voice was silky. "Dame Vaako." I opened my eyes and I was back on the Basilica. "Where's Ashlynn?" I groaned sliding my goggles down. The beautiful woman wrinkled her brow at me. "Are you referring to the dead girl?" She asked with a forced smile. I nodded in response. "We sent an element after her soul. I'm not sure it'll work. She's been dead so long. There's a chance if she pulls through, that she will be like the lord Marshall before you." She informed. I growled. "And if not?" I pressed. "Her soul will be lost but that isn't important right now. Seeing that you've been away so long, Vaako has stepped into your shoes. If you wish to reclaim your throne. You must defeat him. Lose and you will be converted. Along with you lady friend." Her smirk was pure evil. She was so confident that I would lose.

"I don't care about the throne. Bring back Ashlynn and I'll give it to Vaako." I told her. She smiled and shook her head. "That's not how it works. To name a successor you must die. It is written in the prophecy." She explained. "What about this prophecy?" "It shall be revealed." She swished her hips and disappeared around a corner. I could hear voices near the quasi-dead. Vaako and Dame. Whispering with the quasi in angry tones. I pressed my back against the wall and listened. "Why is she so important to him, he's willingly to give up his throne for her." Dame vaako shot. "Yes well she's a pretty little thing." There was an undeniable lust in his voice. "You find this thing attractive?" She scoffed. "Please Dame your jealousy is pathetic." He scorned. There was a shuffling then silence.

After peeking around the corner I entered the room. Her body was curled up on the floor in long white dress down to her ankles. She seemed so peaceful, like she was sleeping. Vaako had a oversized chain locked around her neck cutting into her skins. I was caught off guard by dried blood. "Ashlynn." I shook her gently. She groaned softly, her eyelashes butterflied before opening. "Riddick." I smiled at the sound of my voice. I brought her head against my chest. She whimpered at the cold steel digging into her neck. "I'll go find something to break the lock. I'll be right back." I assured her. She nodded. Our eyes fixed on each other even in so much pain she still remained strong.

"I wouldn't count on that." Dame Vaako instructed three guards pinned me down and shackled me. I struggled against them, throwing my head back smashing one's nose. He double over and held his nose, groaning in pain. With one out of the picture I continued to thrashed with the other. My hands were shackled but I still charged the shorter one. I grinned even though he held his ground he was trebling. My shoulder connected with his chest, knocking him off his feet. His body slid backwards on the stone floor about ten feet only stopping when the wall knocked the wind out of him. Blood pumping, I straightened myself and glanced over my shoulder. The other man shook his head and backed away. I chuckled and glanced over at Dame.

She raised her eyebrows, tilting her head towards Ashe. Vaako had a sickle around Ashlynn's neck just below her collar. "Get the fuck away from her, Vaako." I warned. He shook his head. "Put  Riddick in a cell. I'll take good care of her." His nose rubbed the side of her face. Anger consumed me and I charged him. I didn't get far he snatched her head back and I could see new blood dripping from her neck. I froze her mewls ringing in my ears. Without fight I allowed the soldiers to drag me into a dark cell.

Once inside the cell I pushed my boots against the shackles, trying to break them. The weren't giving. I had to use my arm to push up my goggles so I could look around. The room was empty nothing I could use to escape. "I can get you out." The ghostly voice whispered. "Why would you help me?" I asked. "Because she's not who you think she is." The elemental, Aereon informed. "Speak with logic elemental." I demanded. " Ashlynn is of no realation to the human girl. Your human girl only took her in to protect her. Ashlynn is earth elemental. Her powers were locked inside her, subconsciously pushed down to keep herself safe. Now that Ashlynn has reawaken from the underverse her powers will be revealed and greater than anyone can imagine." She explained.

The elemental released me and opened the cell. "You have to save her before they find out just how powerful she is. If you don't they'll use her to destroy the universe." She advised. I nodded and made my way down the dim lit hallway. The quasi-dead chamber was empty. I paused long enough to think over where she might be. A faint humming caught my attention. I was sure if I was actually hearing it or just imagining it but it got louder with each step. The humming guided me to Vaako's chamber. I heard Dame cursing at Ashlynn. Dame Vaako was scorning Ashlynn for not obeying her. "You worthless little whore. I know you can, now move the vase." She shot. "I can't." Ashlynn replied. "You're a witch you all have powers, what's yours?" She pressed. "I don't know what you're talking about." Ashlynn defended. "You want to play bitch? How about I get my husband. We'll fetch your Furyan and you can watch as I slit his throat." Her laugh was silenced by a loud boom.

I kicked in the door and was stunned by the scene. Dame's body was slumped against the wall blood sliding down the wall behind her. My head snapped towards Ashlynn. "What the hell?" I started. Ashlynn was shaking her head back and forth. She looked terrified. "What's wrong with me?" A single tear rolled down her cheek. It was the first time I realized how different she was. Even beneath my goggles I could see a change in her eye color. "You're an elemental, earth from what I hear. You're not Kyra's sister." I told her. "That's not true. Even you said I looked like her." She objected. I sighed. "A lucky coincidence. What happened in here? How did you do this?" I interrogated. "I don't know. I closed my eyes and I felt the air being pushed away from me." she explained. "Like a bomb going off? Ha ticking time bomb." I joked. Ashlynn glared at me. I noticed a change in her eyes again. "You control the things around you." I told her.

I helped Ashlynn up her hand rested on my stomach and back. I steady her with an arm around her back. "I have to get you off this ship. If we can get to the ship bay we can get out of here." I told her. Ashlynn nodded up at me, trusting my judgment. " There's guards everywhere."She informed. I smiled down at her, she seemed so worried. I placed my lips on her temple to comfort her. "You ready for this babe,?" I asked. She nodded but it was obvious she was nervous. "Get to the ship bay. Do not stop. No matter what." I instructed. She unwrapped herself from me. I knew better than to think she'd leave me, hard headed woman. Ashlynn stood in front of me on her tiptoes, reaching up to pushed our mouths together. Her lips parted and she allowed me to control the heated kiss. I was surprised by her brashness. "Saved this for later?" I mumbled against her mouth. She smiled up at me.
