I pretended to wake up after five minutes of Liz Hemmings' and my mother's conversation, after trying to process all that's happened.

Liz Hemmings? My mom? Friends?

Me? Meeting Luke Hemmings?

Luke Hemmings? Knowing my mother and loving her on her stupid parody news TV show?

So many questions, and I'm not even sure how there's positive answers to all of them.

"Oh, Spencer, you're awake now," My mom said cheerily from the newly furnished kitchen.

"Yeah, I am," I slurred, rubbing my eyes to make my act more believable.

"You know, I just met the nicest lady. Name's Liz Hemmings, said she was a fan and all. And she has a son, just in luck for you!" She cheered, throwing her hands up in the air.

And forgetting she was holding a mug, leading it to crash and burn on the ground.

"Shit!" She shrieked.

"Mom, you do know who her son is, right?" I said slowly, ignoring the shattered mug on the floor. Stuff like that was just normal for me.

"Spencer Cassidy Bristol, I'll figure out who her son is once you help me clean this up," My mother snapped, but I ignored her tone.

"Her son, mom, is my favorite member of my favorite band," I said exasperatedly.

"Wait, what band?" My mom said, raising her eyebrows in confusion.

My God, we go in circles. But that's the least of my worries right now.

"You know, the one called-" I started, but my mom excitedly cut me off.

"Wait! Is that the one.. With Ashley?" My mom squealed, about to jump before remembering the shattered pieces of ugly mug on the floor.

"Ashton, mom, but whatever. Yes, yes it is!" I squealed along with her.

"Oh God, Spencer. Do you know what we have to do?" She says slowly, and I raise my eyebrows at her, waiting for her to go on.

"We've got to get along with that lady just well," She smiles, and I mirror her expression, except I can't stop grinning.

Not only would I finally be meeting my favorite band member, but if I make all the right moves, I can be more than just a fangirl.

Luke's POV

The boys and I were all on the tour bus, making jokes and keeks, as the usual. Through all of this, my mum's been texting me all about our new neighbors at home.

As much as I love being on the road, I miss home more than anything at times, and I'm really excited to get going. Things get overwhelming at times, and you want nothing more to go to sleep in your bed, even when you're living with everything you could ask for.

And also, my mum just mentioned it was Lea Bristol, from that one show that I love, and her daughter. God, I'm literally so excited to get back and meet her and yeah, her daughter, too. It's always nice to have a friend, and apparently she's my age.

I've been watching that show all tour long, though, with the rest of the boys. It's like a religion for Ashton and I, and Calum and Michael make fun of us, even though they know they like it, too.

My phone buzzes with a tweet and it's this, and all the boys shout out at me excitedly as I read it.

"@Lea__Bristol: Will be a pleasure to meet you tomorrow, 'neighbor' ;p @Luke5SOS"
