Lunarstorm pounced at the squirrel. With a squeal, it ran off. "Mouse-dung!" she hissed. Wolfstorm leaped on top of it, killing it with a bite to the neck. "Wolfstorm!" Lunarstowm swatted her mate playfully. "That was my catch!" Wolfstorm chuckled slightly. In the shadows of the trees, I heard Bramblemist chuckle. Lunarstorm turned and saw the hurt in his eyes, but he still kept a smile on. "That was a great catch, Wolfstorm." "Let's bring it back to the camp." Wolfstorm mewed. As we entered the camp, Froststar eyed Wolfstorm's squirrel. "Great catch." he noted. "You must be proud of your mate." Dovefall mewed. "I am." Lunarstorm mewed. She looked over at Wolfstorm, but instead of seeing a happy returned glance, she saw guilt. What did you do, Wolfstorm.
Something brushed against Lunarstorm's fur. She saw Wolfstorm quickly leave the warriors den. Silently, she got up and tracked Wolfstorm's paw steps. She quickly followed him before she could lose him.
As Lunarstorm followed Wolfstorm, she began to get suspicious. What was Wolfstorm up to? She cut off her train of thought and followed Wolfstorm. Wolfstorm ducked underneath a huge bramble thicket. Lunarstorn quickly ducked. Where is he going? She thought. As Wolfstorm trekked deeper into the LunarClan territory, Lunarstorm realized that Wolfstorm was leaving the LunarClan territory. She quickly ran after Wolfstorm. when she no longer recognized the territory, Lunarstorm's heart froze as she saw Wolfstorm pad up to another she-cat. She quickly hid behind a fallen tree log and listened. "What took so long, Wolfstorm?" the she-cat asked. "I'm sorry Sunset. I had to find a way to get out of the warrior's den without waking anyone up. Especially Lunarstorm. Always worrying about me. Don't worry. Within a few days, I'll be leaving LunarClan forever. We can be together." Grief sliced through Lunarstorm's heart. Wolfstorm was cheating on her. She felt dizzy, but quickly dispelled it. Rage pulsing through her blood, she leaped at Sunset. "Lunarstorm?" he gasped. She glared at Wolfstorm. "I know everything!" she screamed, loud enough to wake the camp. Sunset gasped for breath. "Wolfstorm.." she mewed. "Why, Wolfstorm? I gave you my heart. How will you explain this to Stormpaw and Ragepaw?" Lunarstorm hissed. "Now they'll have to grow up without a father- even worse- they'll grow up knowing their father left them for someone else." Sunset kicked Lunarstorm off of her, spitting. Wolfstorm yowled and lunged at Lunarstorm. Lunarstorm gasped as Wolfstorm's weight crushed her. Her own mate had just attacked her. She saw Sunset smiling, a smug look on her face. Wolfstorm clawed my ears. Pain seared through her forehead, and Lunarstorm saw blood dripping down her face. "You can't go back knowing this. I will retire as a honorable warrior, and you will stop that!" he hissed as he raised his claws. Lynarstorm closed her eyes. So be it, she thought My spirit will haunt you forever if you kill me. Suddenly, Wolfstorm's weight lifted off of her. "Lunarstorm!" Bramblemist shouted. Froststar leaped at Sunset and tore her stomach open, while Ragepaw, Stormpaw and Jaysplash attacked Wolfstorm. Wolfstorm gasped and ran for the Twolegplace. "Lunarstorm!" Bramblemist shouted. He ran to Lunarstorm and supported her with his shoulder. "Lunarstorm, I'm so sorry." Froststar murmured. Lunarstorm felt the wound in her head grow more painful. I have to live.... for my kits, She thought. But nothing could stop the horrible destiny ahead of her.
