-Goodnight Mrs. Jeon. You said softly and as you closed the door; a whiff of fresh air caressed your cheek.

The door downstairs didn't always close properly, and the biting night air slithered through the open gap between the entry and the wall. You and Mrs. Jeon's were the only two doors on the second floor. There were only 2 apartments in the building. You weren't sure if the other door downstairs was an apartment or a broom cupboard, you had never seen anyone walking in or out. Pretty peculiar when you thought about it. The hem of your shorts fluttered against your thighs, as you heard the door oscillate trough the dropping of the stairs. Mrs. Jeon probably forgot to check that it was properly closed, she usually did. She had lived next to you all the 3 years you had lived there.

You opened your door widely and pulled your shorts down to a respectable length. The stairs were of rock, painted in a white coating, like those stone houses on Mykonos or Santorini. The stars twinkled from a window high under the roof and cigarette smoke seeped through the stairway. -That's the smell of lung cancer right there. You muttered to yourself and walked down to lock the door. As you got closer to the bottom the air got colder, and the cigarette stank ate its way through your hair. The lighting from the stairway created a glare in the glass on the exit door highlighting all the fingerprints pressed against the aperture. You skipped the last step accidentally and shot forward almost triggering the fire alarm. You just shrugged it off and opened the door to get some fresh air before closing it, but all you smelled was contaminated cigarette air. You stared out at the quiet street, the night made it seem so desolated, like there was no one left on earth. The music from nightclubs on the other side of town was fate, and in between beats it was completely silent. ''It's actually quite peaceful here'' You closed your eyes and listened to the silence. Your moment of sentiment was abruptly disrupted by a single car revving trough the street roundabout and down your street. You stood there for another second before backing up inside, pulling the door behind you. A fly on the roof above you was desperately trying to get inside the flickering brass lamp as shales and gravel rolled under a pair of dampening car wheels outside and the smell of burned rubber overpowered the cigarette smoke. You didn't know anyone who would stop by at this hour and tried to figure out who it was, but you hadn't seen the car before. ''It's a nice car'' You thought and checked it out. The car was black with tinted windows. The glass on the driver's side was open, but not enough for you to see anything other than a black cap. -Yeah, I know, but I can't tonight, I'm visiting granny. The person in the black sedan spoke in a defending manner. You couldn't tell where, but you knew you at least had heard that voice before. It was soft and calming at the same time as it was brutal and angry. You couldn't really make out anything, the door muted most of the sound. But you made out the words ''Okay bye'' as the window in the car closed. The light in the car came on as the door opened, and as a reflex you sprinted up the stairs, and as you heard a key being inserted to the main door you leaped the last step and ran towards your open door.

You shut the door quietly and glanced trough the peephole as the black cap appeared trough the railings. ''Who wears caps when its dark out?'' You couldn't make out many facial features, only that it was a man. He was wearing a leather jacket and a dark shirt with a shallow U neckline. He had broad shoulders and his shadow ate your door in a single mouthful. He stopped in front of Mrs. Jeon's door and checked a notification on his phone before knocking on the door. You still couldn't see who it was. You knew it was something familiar about the broad shoulders, the jawline and the long neck. He fiddled with the zipper on his jacket, as he was standing quietly. ''Take of your cap'' You whispered to yourself, and as if he heard you, he turned around and stared directly through the peephole. -Ho-lly-fuck. The dark eyes looking at you from the other side of the door were carved in to the face of Jeon Jungkook. Right then you pieced it together.

Disrupted from your own thoughts the sound of a lock turning from Mrs. Jeons door filled the silent hallway. An excited Mrs. Jeon opened the door and her face brightened up as she laid eyes on the young man in front of her. Her whole face cracked in to a smile as she walked out and embraced him. They didn't say anything. It was actually quite cute. Mrs. Jeon let him go and went in to her apartment and held the door open, as a sign for him to enter. He walked in and began taking of his jacket as she closed the door and you heard a conversation starting.

-Holly fuck. You got off your tippy toes and stood still for a sec. Was this the grandson she always tried setting you up with? -I'll be damned. You laughed a little and went to the kitchen to turn of the oven and take out your well-done pizza.
