Madison, Lisa, Carole, and Stevie look all over Pine Hollow for Z and Sydney, but there's no sign of them anywhere.
"Where did they go?" asks Lisa.
"I'm not sure, but we have to find them," says Madison.
Madison then saddles up her horse and she rides out towards the woods. Lisa, Carole, and Stevie follow Madison and they finally catch up to her a few minutes later.
"Madison what's up?" asks Lisa.
"Okay think. Where would they want to go if they didn't want to be found?" exclaims Madison.
"Of course the old carriage house," says Carole.
"Exactly," says Madison.
Madison, Lisa, Carole, and Stevie find the old carriage house, where they hear a soft conversation. The four of them dismount and they carefully and quietly walk inside. Madison finds Sydney and Z talking in the dark.
"What are you two doing in here?" asks Lisa.
"We were fighting and I found this and then it brought us here," says Z as she hands Madison the magic staff.
"Oh my god. Do you guys realize how powerful this is?" asks Madison in a calm tone.
"Not really," says Z.
"This can flatten an entire city block, if used improperly," says Madison.
"We're sorry Madison," says Z and Sydney.
"Its okay. Let's get back to the stable and I'll make you guys some hot choco," says Madison.
The next thing you know, Madison's cellphone goes off. She answers it to hear Nick's voice.
"Nick? Is that really you?" asks Madison.
"Yeah Maddie its me," says Nick.
"It's great to hear from you. I'm at a horse stable pretty far away. Its called Pine Hollow. Udonna had me sent to another ranger team. Where are you at right now?" asks Madison.
"I'm just arriving at a horse stable. I'll be looking for you," says Nick.
"I'll be there soon. I went out for a ride I'll be back there in 10 minutes or so," says Madison.
"Okay," says Nick.
"I love you Nick," says Madison.
"I love you too Maddie," says Nick.
Nick and Madison hang up and Madison says, "Let's go. Sydney you'll be with Lisa. Z you'll be with Carole. Lets mount up."
Madison, Lisa, Carole, and Stevie mount up and Lisa helps Sydney up onto her horse and Z gets onto Carole's horse. Madison takes the lead, while Z is riding with Carole, Sydney is riding with Lisa, and Stevie, who's by herself, follow behind. Madison puts Moonlight into a gallop. She's the first one back and she brings Moonlight to a halt. Madison dismounts and she walks Moonlight to his stall, where she untacks him. She puts the tack away as well as her helmet and gear where it belongs. When she walks outside, she spots Nick's motorcycle. She sees Max and Nick talking. She runs up to them and she says, "Hey Max. What's going on?"
"Well I was talking to him about not having a motorcycle here", replies Max.
"Max that's my boyfriend Nick, from Briarwood. He called me a little while ago, just as he was arriving. So can you two please get along? For me?" asks Madison.
"We can get along. I give you my word," says Nick.
"Good," says Madison as she looks at Nick.
Max then sees Lisa, Carole, and Stevie ride up. With Z riding with Carole and Sydney riding with Lisa.
"Hey Max. Who's that?" asks Lisa.
"That's Madison's boyfriend Nick," says Max.
The girls jaws drop and they then see Madison and Nick kiss on the lips. Madison blushes and she guides Moonlight into his stall, using the reins, where she untacks and unbridles him in a matter of fifteen minutes. Madison then brushes Moonlight. A few seconds later, Nick walks up.
"I've missed you Maddie. Why did Udonna send you away?" asks Nick.
"I've missed you as well. But I don't know why Udonna sent me away," says Madison.
