Marcus Lopez Arguello. That boy was going to be the death of you. Marcus had become your best friend after you found him on the streets and let him stay in your room one night. Ever since then you had let Marcus stay in your room whenever he needed or wanted and gave him food, water and clothes. You spent almost all your time together. He knew how much you hated being home alone with your parents. Your parents were real assholes. You knew they didn't really care about you, and were only kind to you in public and around other people. One day, Marcus had been at your house, when he got up and left with a hurried goodbye.
"Where the fuck is he going?" You think to yourself as you jump across the gap between the building you were standing on and the building next to it. You thought Marcus had been acting weird, so you decided to follow him. You followed him on rooftop until he got to the Day of the Dead parade. You climbed down to the ground and followed him silently on foot.
You watched as he bumped into and talked to another teen. The guy walks away and Marcus looks behind him and sees cops running towards him.
"Oh shit." You say and quickly follow him. You weave through the crowd after him and past the arcade. You dodge the door and follow Marcus through the restaurant and wait to follow the cops that are chasing Marcus. You see the girl he saw before on a motorcycle and hurriedly look around for anything you can use to keep up with them.
Sprinting to the front of the restaurant you quickly steal a bike parked in front and speed down the alley. You follow as best you can behind the cops and watch as the girl flips off the motorcycle and through the windshield.
"Damn. Girl's got some moves!" You think as you ride past the crashed cop car and turn to follow Marcus. You stop outside the parking garage he entered. You climb on top of the sign above the entrance and wait.
Soon, a group of teens, including the girl on the motorcycle and the boy who talked to Marcus, bring out Marcus with a bag over his head. You jump down behind them and clear your throat. They all turn around, pointing various weapons at your head.
"Probably not the smartest move." You think as the girl on the motorcycle puts her katana to your throat.
"How long have you been following us?" She says, pushing the katana hard enough to leave a cut and draw blood.
"The whole time." You reply with a smirk. Her eyes widen for a second, before they narrow and she knocks you out with a punch to the face.
When you wake up, you're tied to a chair. Looking around you spot the same group from before standing in front of you. You look to the side and spot Marcus with his head still covered.
"He still out?" You say and nod in his direction. The tall boy from earlier leans over and rips off Marcus' bag. He looks up at the group.
"Hmm, don't look like a psychopath." The tall boy says.
"He looks sweet." A girl with Day of the Dead makeup says.
"Like a sweet jerk-off." Another replies. This boy has a green mohawk. You smile a bit at what he says.
"You're so fucking confident, why tie me up?" Marcus says. You laugh and Marcus turns to look at you, surprised. "Y/N? What are you doing here?" He asks.
"I followed you, dumbass." You say and he rolls his eyes. Suddenly a man walks out.
"Forgive my students. They forget there are occasions when being vicious only serves to make one look weak." He says. The group parts and the man walks down the middle. "Tell me, Marcus, and apparently Y/N, are you satisfied with your lives?"
"I eat shit, sleep in garbage most of the time, and fight crazy people for shoes. So yeah. It's exactly perfect, what I always dreamt of. The fuck do you care." Marcus says. The man turns to you.
"My parents don't give a shit about me, and if I didn't go to school I'm sure they'd beat me too. I bet they'll be relieved once they realize I'm gone. I get bullied everyday at school, even by the teachers, and I starve most of the time. My life's amazing." You say.
"I'm here to offer you a chance to use your natural predilections to achieve something in this world." The man says.
"Like what?" Marcus asks.
"I would like to train you to become the two of the world's greatest assassins. Surrounded by others like you. In a place where you will be safe from their laws." He replies.
"A hitman? Man, that...that just sounds insane. I mean, look, I appreciate you helping me out-but I'm not the guy you're looking for." Marcus says. The man turns to you again.
"I'm in." You say and Marcus turns to look at you.
"Untie them." The man says. Once the two of you are untied, Marcus grabs your arm and drags you outside.
"What the fuck Y/N! You don't know what you're getting yourself into!" He yells as soon as you make it outside.
"Maybe I don't, Marcus, but you know how much I hate being there. I can't go back there. Would you rather I live on the streets?" You yell back.
"Of course not! Living off trash and not knowing where you're gonna sleep or if you're even gonna live the night. Living like I do is dangerous!" He says.
"Exactly! You can't keep living on the streets, Marcus, it's gonna kill you." You reply with a sigh. "I'm joining them no matter what. Don't make me do it alone." You say and walk back to the group.
When you walk in, the man asks who will sponsor you. You look at each of them.
"I'll do it." The boy with the mohawk says as he smiles at you. You walk over to him and stand next to him.
"Her choices are now on your head, Billy." The man says. You turn to Billy and smile.
"I'll try not to get you in trouble." You whisper to him. He laughs and whispers back.
"Thanks." He then quietly tells you who everyone is. Soon after, Marcus walks back in. The man, Master Lin, asks who will sponsor him. Everyone denies.
"Fuck. I'll do it." Saya, the girl on the motorcycle, says.
"So be it. His choices are now on your head, Saya." Lin says. He turns and walks away. Everyone following. You walk over to Marcus and grab his hand. You give it a reassuring squeeze and he gives you a weak smile. You look up and see Billy shaking his head, then gesturing to your linked hands. You let go of Marcus' hand, but take a step closer to him.
"Lesson one, should you ever reveal the location of the school...you will be eviscerated in your sleep." Master Lin says.
"Cool. Sounds great." Marcus says. You punch him in the arm and walk down the staircase.
"No unsanctioned killing. No sex. No drugs. No disobedience. You are to obey your instructors. Do as instructed or you will be silenced." Lin says.
"Just gets better and better." Marcus says and you smile.
"Do not fret. I see great promise in you two. Much raw talent. And because of this...you may yet survive Kings Dominion School of the Deadly Arts." Master Lin says as he steps aside to reveal the school.
A/N: I hope you like it. I'm mostly going off what happens in the comics, but will sometimes use scenes from the show or mix what happens in the show with the comics. I'm also using what they look like in the show, not the comics but I'm going to keep the teachers from the comics. I'm also changing some parts a little bit so that Y/N will fit into the story better. I think I'm going to try to post at least once a week. I haven't gotten much inspiration for my other two stories(supernatural and spiderman) so I think I'm going to focus more on this one for now.
