Clara had run away. His impossible girl had made his life just that little bit more impossible to go on with. The Doctor was okay though; he didn't need to solve the mystery of Clara Oswald, he had enough to deal with. She'd been too short anyway, her nose had been weird. The TARDIS stopped making her whirring nose and The Doctor fastened his coat and made his way outside. He didn't need another companion. He didn't want another human to babysit. He was The Doctor and it was time to work. He stood outside 'Blaze', the too loud, too crowded nightclub. The Doctor didn't like it, it smelt funny. He didn't know why one of the representatives of the galaxies would want to meet here, but then again Skagroff did have a reputation for trying out every drinking place in the universe. The Doctor sighed, pushed through the line and held out his psychic paper to the bouncer. The bouncer nodded once and The Doctor made his way inside. It only got worse. More noise, more people and more stench. Skagroff was waiting in the corner for him.

Lexi got herslef another drink and carried on dancing to the beat. How many had she had? Six, seven, eight... five, six, seven... sleven? Was sleven even a number? She didn't care. She tripped over a table leg as she made her way to the toilets. An older man and a strange looking man in some kind of toga were sat there. The older man seemed very uninterested in her but the man in the toga gave her a warm smile.

"Please don't try and be sociable when I'm sat here.Flirt with her when I'm gone" The older man said.

"Oh Doctor! We know you got old, you don't have to act it though!"

"I matured."

"It only took what? 900 years or so! And you went Scottish. I'm not sure I like it." Lexi moved on thinking about the doctor. He wasn't too bad looking. She could go out with a scottish doctor- wow, where did that come from?! She was definitely drunk. For all she knew he could be some weirdo who claimed he was from outer space and then stuck naive women in a box.

The Doctor exited the club and breathed in the fresh, almost clean air. His buisness was done and he had left Skagroff to do whatever he wanted. But what would he, The Doctor, do now? What did he want? He'd probably just fly around for a few years. There had to be some planets  he hadn't already seen out there somewhere. He heard giggling behind him and he saw the woman who had tripped over the table earlier. He didn't like her, she annoyed him. He kept walking but knew she was following him. She was alone. He had almost made it to the TARDIS when he heard a thud and an 'ow'. He turned around and saw her on the floor holding her head. She was bleeding and there was a cut there but it wasn't too deep, she would be fine.

"Excuse me?" She said. "Are you a doctor? I think I need a doctor."

"No, I'm not." The Doctor replied and walked on.

"Hey!" She pushed herself up and tripped over her feet again. "You are a doctor! The guy said you were a doctor."

"He said I was The Doctor, not a doctor."

"Not good enough for you am I?!" She shouted after him. "Who are you anyway? Doctor Who?"

"Exactly." He went into the police box and she hurried after him.

"You're not-" She stared at the inside of the TARDIS as the whirring noises started.

"You need to leave." The Doctor said, not looking up. "You'll miss your chance to leave if you don't go now." The whirring noises got louder.

"I must be even drunker than I thought." Lexi said. "Or maybe I hit my head harder than I thought I did."

"Are you leaving?"

"No."

"Very well." They lurched foreward and Lexi needed to be sick. She opened the door and found the lack of hard ground and the presence of stars and blackness quite disconcerting. She'd been drunk many times before but never quite this drunk. This kind of drunk required immediate passing out. So she did.
