No Longer A Baby. {Monkey D. Luffy x Reader}

Rookie Mistakes.

"Y-You're an idiot yoi!" 

Your hands shaking nervously against the kitchen table as the Marco scolds his younger brother, each of the siblings surrounding you and watching attentively, waiting for the confirmation.

"Wow, Luffy, you really messed this up." Ace simply sighing as the youngest brother carelessly hangs over the back of your chair, giving you a warm hug from behind in attempts to comfort you but it's not working at all.

"Shishishi~! it was only the once~!"

"IT'S STILL A DUMB MOVE YOI!"

"Man...pops is gonna kill me." Thatch having the calmest voice in the room as he stares down at the wooden table also, anxiously biting on his lower lip and his hand supportively resting on top of yours, although it isn't doing much good to you at the moment either, you feel like you're on the verge of having a heart attack.

"Pops?! Rayleigh is gonna kill you too yoi! You said you had this under control!"

I don't know if I'll be able to cope if it's positive...

Your blood feels as if it has been turned into ice and the pregnancy test in front of you just seems to be taking longer than it should to determine whether or not you're expecting. 

Your first time with Luffy sort of just happened naturally, like Marco said it would and you hadn't even thought about protection in the heat of the moment, you were simply too eager and thoughtless and now you're paying the price.

Of course, since that night you've been using it but you worry you might've decided to start playing it safe a little too late. You've been feeling sick all week, losing your appetite and getting cranky.

All bad signs.

Granted, there has been a few bugs going around recently and you always get irritable when you're unwell but this just feels like too much of a coincidence to you. 

What am I going to do?

"Pops and Rayleigh are both gonna kick your ass, Thatch! And Luffy's! But especially yours, you're in charge around here yoi! You reassured them!"

I wish he would stop blaming Thatch...

"And what would you've preferred me to do, Marco?" The brunette's brows furrowing as he glances up at the blonde with a face-melting glare. "Watch them whilst they're doing their business?! Coach them through it and make sure they're being sensible?! I did what I could without coming off as overbearing, unfortunately mistakes happen sometimes, there's nothing for it now so shut up and see what the test says! We'll take it from there!" 

"Will you both shut up?" Sabo finally voices, the younger blonde stood beside you with his hip leaning against the table, his arms folded over his chest and his eyes watching your trembling hands with a pout etched into his features. "[F/n]'s clearly scared and yelling at each other isn't helping the situation."

Thank you, Sabo!

Luffy's arms only tightening around you at the mention of your nervous state, the raven planting a kiss on your cheek sweetly. "It'll be okay, [F/n]~! If it's positive, I'll stick by you, now matter what happens shishishi~!"

You can tell that he's being sincere despite his happy-go-lucky way of expressing it but it still terrifies you to think that you may become a mother far sooner than you had expected, you're still in high school and your uncle will be out for blood when he hears about it, nor are you ready to take care of a crying child. 

Hell, I'm still a child myself!

Finally, a pink line shows up on the test, a smile spreading across your lips when you see that it's not accompanied by another. 

It's negative...thank heavens. 

"Ugh, too close yoi!" Marco sighs, earning a chuckle from Ace and a roll of the eyes from Sabo, you don't mind his comment though since you're also relieved.

"Perfect, no need to tell pops or Rayleigh anything." Thatch smiling to himself as he gives you a pat on your back, rising from his seat in the process. "In that case, I think I better go and buy you some flu medicine, [F/n]."

"Y-Yeah, thank you, Thatch!" A smile on your lips as you lean back into Luffy's embrace, your tensed muscles slowly beginning to relax as the eldest brother leaves the room, slipping into his coat in the process.

He's a really nice guy...I wish he was my sibling. 

Sabo being the first to take a seat beside you at the dining table, followed closely by Ace, the freckled raven sitting the other side of you and all of a sudden you feel sandwiched between the pair.

Why are they like this?

Marco taking the liberty of disposing of the used pregnancy test before he makes his way into the living room, claiming that he has some homework that needs marking and now you're left completely alone and open to teasing. 

Please kill me...

"I'm proud of you, Luffy!" Or not. Sabo's comment catching you by surprise, your brows raising as the raven in question murmurs a simple 'Huh?' into your ear, his body straightening up as he stares inquisitively at his older sibling. "You said you'll stay by her side no matter what the test said and I believe you were telling the truth, it makes me proud!"

Your heart practically melting in your chest when the kind blonde smiles at you both. It would seem that him and Thatch are the friendliest and most responsible two out of the brothers.

"Of course I'll stay by her side shishishi~! I love her~!"

"Heh, and I love you, you lunatic~!" You respond playfully with a content smile on your lips, your head tilting back and allowing you to stare up at your boyfriend, you simply just adore his face.

I'm so lucky to have him.

"Oh, Luffy..." Ace practically muttering his brothers name under his breath, his hand coming up to semi-seriously swat the younger raven around the back of his skull. "Only you would forget to wear protection during your first time!"

Of course, you only end up slapping Ace's hand in return, like a mother scolding her child. The action puzzles the freckled goon for a moment as Sabo chuckles in the background.

"Don't hit my king, you turd!" 

"King?" Ace echoes with a sly smile, although it's quickly washed away when Luffy chuckles also. 

"Shishishi~! Yeah, listen to my queen~!"

"So cute." You hear Sabo's voice lowly whispering into the palm of his hand as he watches you both put a pouting Ace into his place, the blonde seemingly loving the relationship already which is just as well, you don't plan on breaking up with the little brother.

Not now and not ever.
