"This is going to be soooooo exciting!" Gwen and Stacey squeal in the back seat.
I cross my arms and resist the urge to bang my head against the dashboard. We're heading towards the airport since it's the 11th and we're supposed to be flying to London today. Mum was driving me, as well as the most annoyingest twins in the universe, along as well. Mum didn't want to leave them home alone because they can't be trusted. One time, when they were alone, they almost burned down the house when no one else was there, so now they aren't trusted.
"Girls," Mum glances at the mirror where she sees Gwen and Stacey in the back. Then she looks at me. "Please be quiet."
"But we can't Mum!" Stacey giggles. "We're way too hyper,"
"Argh...!" I fail miserably with trying not to bash my head on the dashboard. Mum sees me banging my head repeatedly and looking mad. "I hate sisters..."
"Girls, please stop or you'll have to wait outside," Mum warns the twins and they instantly shut up.
"Finally," I stop banging my head and sit up, felling dizzy. "That was kind of a stupid idea," I mutter to myself and rub my head.
Mum turns into the airport and we all get out. "Now," she turns towards the twins. "Are we going to behave ourselves when we meet One Direction and the other people who Charlotte is competing against?" The twins nod vigorously. "Good, and it better stay that way." She gets out and we all follow. I get my suitcase and my carry on backpack and start to head for the airport.
The twins skip next to me and I shove them over. "Stop," I growl. "I'm really not in the mood to deal with you two." It was bad enough that I have to deal with being around One Direction for a couple more days than intended and I don't need my "dedicated" sisters prancing around me like deranged unicorns or something. Actually, I think they're in the "obsessed" category of fans, wouldn't you say?
Soon we get to the airport entrance, and we follow the directions that were provided to get to where everyone was meeting. When we found them, it was really easy to tell we are in the right place. There are screaming girls and lads everywhere, gaging up in one spot.
I push my way through and my sisters and Mum have enough sense to stay back while I fight through the crowd. "Charlotte!" I hear my name being called, but not by my Mum or my sisters. "Charlotte!" there it is again.
I continue to fight my way through the massive crowd, not really able to see anything worthwhile. Something tugs at my hair. "Quit it!" I yank my hair back with minor pain. Suddenly, I hear the screaming get louder. Someone grabs my hand and I yelp in fright. I hold onto my luggage quickly as someone pulls me through the crowd.
Then I hear, "Liam! Liam! Over here Liam!"
The hand pulling me holds on tight and so do I, too afraid to be whisked back to that terrifying crowd. Suddenly, there is less people around me. I open my eyes. I didn't even realize that I closed them. Standing in front of me is Liam, I think....
"Are you ok?" He asks me in a gentle tone.
"Just conbaffled," I breathe.
"Conbaffled eh?" Liam chuckles. "Is that a combination of confused and baffled?"
"Actually, yes," I see him holding my hand, and I yank my hand free. Liam looks at me. "Sorry," I mutter and drop my arm to my side. "Thanks for saving me from that crowd,"
Liam smiles. "No problem. We've had to do that to a couple of people when the crowds started to pile in, trying to get at us," He tips his head to the other people in the room.
