I have never fully understood how people can be so idiotic at times. My best friend, Alex, and I were just sitting around outside waiting for school to start when she walks by.
Lela. She is the most popular girl at this school. She has silky black hair and beautiful green eyes that shine like emeralds. Lela always wears the same black leather jacket school everyday. ( Oh, if you haven't noticed, I am the idiotic person I was talking about.)
I have known Lela since we were little kids. We were friends until our first day in middle school. Over the summer, we had been having sleepovers and doing what friends do, but the first day came and she never said anything to me. When I had tried to talk to her, she would just ignore me.
Even though we haven't talked in six years, I am still in love with her. Yeah, I had always been in love with her. Everything about her. Lela tries to act all badass, but she has a big heart. When we were younger, I would always get injured, and she would always get help for me. She was the best anyone could hope for.
Anyway, apparently the bell just rang because Alex just nudges me. I turn to look at him and raise my eyebrow questioningly.
" The bell just rang. Where were you in that head of yours?"
" You know where my mind was. I'm sorry if I make us late."
Alex and I get up and head inside to try to get to our classes on time. I had chemistry first period with Lela. Alex smirks at me before dropping me off at my class, and I know what he is thinking.
I walk into the class and head towards the back where I usually sit. I look around and only see a few people in the class and wonder where everyone is. ( Mainly Lela, obviously.)
I take this time to look out of the window to my left. Living near the beach has always been the best. We live on the beach, and we even go to school on the beach. It's beautiful until there is a hurricane. That's the only bad thing about living on the beach.
I get startled out of my thoughts by the door opening and the most beautiful laugh sounding.
