Eight

Briana's POV

My brother and mom had both left and this was the perfect time for me to have Kaleb come get me. My brother still had my phone so I used the hospital phone that was in my room. I was so nervous I shut and locked the door just incase my brother or mom popped up.  I called Kaleb back to back with no answer which really pissed me off because like what the fuck is he doing. I had nobody else to call for a ride because I didn't know any other numbers by heart except Taylor's.

I decided to call her and have her get on my Instagram and get Dreon's number to call him. He answered I asked him to come get me and he agreed. It was crazy how he was there for me and my own boyfriend wasnt. I barely even knew this dude but we texted a little and he seemed cool as fuck. I dont know where I was going but I knew I had to get the hell out this hospital.

I called Dre again and told him to pick me up from the gas station across the street. 10 minutes later he was here. I was kind of scared to go to the car so I stood there acting like i didn't see him. He beeped his horn so I started walking to the car slowly. He got out, opened my door and helped me in. I was shocked because Kaleb never opens my door.

"Wassam ma, you good?" he asked flashing his perfect teeth

"Yeah Im straight. Im a little sore but it's applesauce to a boss, you hear me."

"Yo voice so sexy girl, you so beautiful." he said while licking his lips.

I cant lie this man was handsome as hell. Im faithful though so wasn't nothing gone shake between us.

"Thanks Bf. Um I don't have nowhere to go. My boyfriend not answering" I told him

"Bf then where Im supposed to take you? Why you leave the hospital in the first place? Talk to me."

I told him everything that had happened as tears poured down my face. I really didnt mean to cry in front of him but I was so tired of being strong. I needed to let out how I really felt. I hated my mom for that lame shit she pulled and I was heartbroken about the way my brother treated me. All I wanted to do was be under Kaleb but that nigga was MIA when I needed him the most.

Dreon did a good job of making me feel better. After I told him everything we went to the gas station to get a pack of backwoods & snacks to roll up. This was my usual spot so I went instead of Dreon.

"Hey John." I said to the owner of the store

"Hey B, yall must of forgot something again huh?"

"Um what you mean? This my first time in here."

"Now I know im old but Im pretty sure I just seen you get into Kaleb's car. You always like to pull my leg B."

"Naw John. It wasnt me. . . wait Kaleb was here."

"You know what old age is getting the best of me. Forget I said anything. Don't worry about paying."

"Thanks John." I said leaving out the store confused as hell.

I know John was old but I felt like there was some truth to what he said. Kaleb is always here but I definitely wasnt with him so who was. I pushed the thoughts out of my mind as I got back in the car.

We were now back at Dreon's dorm room watching movies and eating snacks. I dont know how long I planned on being with him. Time was just flying by and I actually enjoyed his company. He was so sweet and respectful. Him and Kaleb were like day and night.

When we first got to his dorm he gave me a shirt to put on and ice for my head since I was getting a headache. He sat on the floor while I laid in his small ass twin sized bed. I respected him for giving me my space. I was glad I made him my Best Friend.

I couldn't stop thinking about Kaleb so I decided to call him again off Dreon's phone.

"Talk to me." he answered
"Damn Ka. I been calling you all day. Where the fuck you been."
"Briana ? Where you at? Yo peoples been looking for you. Send me yo location."
"Im at the college upstate come get me."
"Alright bet stay there."

I was excited as fuck about seeing my man but I was also sad that I was leaving my best friend. Damn
