The Choni Child

Chapter Two: A Surprise

After several hours of Venus not paying attention, she still wondered how she managed to still have good grades, her final class ended and she grabbed her things and was the first one out of door, she went to Archer's last class and waited outside, when he didn't come out after 10 minutes she started to spam his phone like crazy. Nothing. 20 minutes later, still nothing. Venus just gave up til she received a text from her mom, Cheryl 'V, do you mind staying a bit late at school? Toni is going to pick you up.' , Venus was confused but replied back, 'Uh yeah I'll stay a few extra.'.

Venus went outside and sat out on the stairs waiting for Toni to show up, it probably took about 15 minutes or 20, Venus wasn't paying attention til a car pulled up, she quickly recognized it and got up happily, she usually didn't have favorites when it came to family and parents, but Toni was her favorite mom, so it made Venus day even better, "Hey Ven, you all ready?" Toni asked when Venus opened to back door to put her things down, closed it then went to the passenger seat, "Yup! Where are we going?" Venus asked looking at Toni.

Toni looked back and smirked, not saying anything and drove off, "Oh you'll see." Toni said they drove towards the Thistle house, they arrived in about 10ish minutes, Venus still had no idea why she took long but didn't care, it was now 5:06pm, Venus was tired, she grabbed her stuff and went inside into her room she then took a nap.

7:18pm

Venus had just woken up, she got up and and looked around for Cheryl and Toni, no one was home expect her, but she kept searching til she went into the living room and found a note

'Here's the keys to the new car, now go to Pops, we love you, -Cheryl & Toni.'

"Holy- a new car?!" Venus said grabbing the keys and went outside, it was a 2018 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, "That's probably why they wanted me to know how to drive." Venus mumbled, she started the car up and drove to Pop's, as soon as she arrived she turned off the engine and went into Pops, she looked around before spotting Dilton and went toward him, "So I'm guessing you have my next quest?" Venus asked sitting down across from him, "Of course, I would've thought I would be the last person you'll talk to here." Dilton said giving her a note.

'Now you've found the next clue, there is a total of 4, this time you must visit the once terrifying home of all of Riverdale."

"Thornhill?" Venus whispered, "I'll see you later Dil." Venus got up quickly and went to the car and drove off the Thornhill, there wasn't really anything but rubbish around she looked around and wondered why the hell would they wanted her to see this stuff, she looked around for awhile before finding a note.

'It looks like the nightmares you had when you were younger, wonderful isn't it? Well now head towards the place you call a second home.'

Venus quickly ran to her car, she always did have nightmares of this, it wasn't wonderful for Cheryl and Toni, they would have to stay up for hours before Venus fell asleep, Venus headed towards the Jones household, she went towards the house and knocked, the door was opened, she entered slowly, saw the note and grabbed it quickly and shut the door, she read the note.

'Now you have found the second to last quest, head towards your favorite hangout place.'

Venus was confused why they led her all around these places, she quickly drove over to the skatepark, she looked at the time 7:40pm, "Wow that was fast." Venus got out of the car and looked around, and went into the 'pool' she found a note and read it.

'Home'

"Did they lead me all around just for this? Woah great parenting." Venus mumbled before heading home, it was dark, no light was on at all, she turned off the car and went inside, she had bad vibes but still went inside, as soon as she closed the door she was surprised by all of her family and friends yelling "Happy Birthday!" Venus nearly died when they popped out and the lights came on, she wondered how the hell did they got everything set up fast, Venus went to find Archer first before her parents.

"So the reason I didn't find you after school was because you came here?" Venus asked him, "Uh yeah, they told me after the first bell rang actually." Archer said looking guilty, "But happy birthday, again." He said laughing a bit, "Could've just said you had plans, anyways talk to you in a bit, i need to find my parents." Venus said going to find Cheryl and Toni, it maybe took her 2-3 minutes she found Cheryl first, "Hey mom, why did you and mom send me out for no reason?" Venus asked, "It was the only way we could get you out of the house." Toni said walking towards them, "Plus you wouldn't leave without a reason." Cheryl said.

"Huh, I guess you aren't wrong, but I could've just stayed at school for awhile." Venus said, "But we love you, so we decided to challenge you." Cheryl said giving Venus a small kiss on her forehead, "Now go on, we'll see you soon." Cheryl said, Venus smiled and walked off and went with her friends, hours later it was midnight, they sung happy birthday to Venus and partied on, it was around 2am when everyone was starting to leave, expect for a few of her friends like Archer, Marissa, and Heather. They were having a sleepover, when it was nearly 3am they started to fall asleep, expect Venus and Archer, they let the others sleep and went out and explored like when they were younger.

Venus found a hidden door in her parents closet, they ended up going out for the rest of the night with Betty and Jughead, Venus was looking in their closet with Archer behind, "I don't think we should be in here." Archer said looking around, "It's fine, nothings gonna happen." Venus said before finding the hidden door, it was rather small, "Hey giant come look at this." Venus said opening the door, "Jeez it's so dusty." Archer complained, "Well the house is old what do you expect." Venus said, she opened the door and found a box it was labeled
'JJ' , "Who the hell is JJ?" Venus said putting the box out, "Shorty I don't like this, what if it's drugs?" Archer said, "Why would they keep them here, plus it's dusty." Venus said, she opened the box...
