Chapter 7

"I... errr... I was just on my way to school. Me and John were err, just running to school because we knew we were late. You see, we've just been to the dentist. We called in and they said it was fine. We were just on our way back there now!"

I have to say, that was one of my best ever excuses, so I think it's fair to say, we're going to get away with this one!

"Don't lie to me!" my evil teacher scowled, I could tell she was trying not to shout in public.

"I... I'm not."

"Then why do you have ice-cream all over your face?"

"I.... I errr.. don't?"

I know, this is the worst excuse ever! She can clearly see I have ice-cream on my face. What do I say?!

"I errr..... ummmmm....."

"Save it! With me, now!" Johnny and I follow Ms. Rosenburd to her car. We hop in the back and have a silent journey to school.

------- AT SCHOOL -------

Here I am.... again. Sitting in the head teachers office.

I'm not fully listening to the speech that dragon lady is giving.

"I'm very disappointed... yada yada.... I expected more from you John..... yada yada..... don't do it again....... yada yada.... detention..... yada yada yada."

Great! another detention. YIPEE! Note the sarcasm.

----- after school -----

School was boring as usual. Did the same old same old. Hung out with Laura and George.

George nominated ME or the ice bucket challenge! Unbelievable!

I guess that's payback for when we had that water fight in the garden right before....... you know.

I'm nearly home. I'm just passing the shops that's just down the road from my house.

I can see a tall man exiting the co-op... Dad.
