Cheryl's pov:

The sun was high in the sky by the time, the tickling had subdued. Toni had managed to take full control of the situation preventing any further attacks on my side and then to my Dismay insisted she had to for fill guard duties. She left wearing black ripped jeans, along with a 1975 T-shirt and her Branded gang jacket, she looked hot to say the least.

Left to my own devices, I decided to clear up the tent. I made both of our beds, they looked completed next to each other and it gave me tingles to think I had slept next to the pink haired beauty. The night hadn't been a calm one for me, with the nightmares growing progressingly worse and seemingly more real. Thank god that the attentive girl had woken me up and comforted me, I could still feel her protective embrace keeping me warm.

What was I even thinking? That was a friend thing to do right, she was being nice. I didn't like girls, I was adamant about that. I had nothing against it but the thought of my mother finding out, the likelihood of it next to impossible, still froze me to the core.

But if I didn't like the captivating serpents girl, what drew me to kiss her, last night? Why did I want to do it again? Why was I jealous even thinking about her ever being with someone else? Why was I livid at the fact she had been with a jerk like Jake for so long? It was a caring friend thought right? Why had I never felt a connection like I felt with her, an electrical sort of one, with any ex boyfriends before?

These thoughts played over and over on my mind as I got ready for the day. I opted for leather shorts overlaying black tights, a black top and applied blood red lipstick to my lips to match my red leather jacket I wore everywhere. Finishing I scanned my tent, my eyes fell upon me bow and sheath of arrows, I hadn't practised in forever.

I emerged into the camp centre in high spirits, the sun glinting of the wooden bow in my hand and the full quiver of arrows on my back. My stomach growled indicating I should find a source of food. I studied my surroundings and my eyes fell upon a group opposite to me across the stumped out campfire.

Confidently I made my way towards them and slowly begun to make out faces, that I thank fully recognised. The small cluster consisted of Veronica and Betty animatedly chatting to each other. Archie who seemed mildly entertained by what they were saying and Kevin who was leaning on an unfamiliar serpent.

"Good morrow, my friends," I interjected into the conversation, taking a seat in the circle inbetween Veronica and archie.

"Your not planning on going to war, are you?" Greeted Archie with a joking expression and motioning towards the bow on my back.

"Not just yet , Archie dear. I merely want to practise shooting today but thought I would eat first and get aqquanited with the new member to our group," I explained my eyes moving from archie to the dark haired male serpent, that kevin seemed to be fully invested in.

"Kevin," signalled veronica, pulling him from doting on the newcomer and back into the conversation.

"Cheryl, this is my boyfriend Joaquin!"
Exlaimed Kevin in a wave of excitement, a grin playing on his lips.

"I'm so pleased for you Kevin, Joaquin pleasure to meet you," I greeted the olive skin serpent, he nodded back and shook my extended hand.

"Kevin's not the only one who's gotten aqquanited with someone is he Archie?" Teased Betty, causing me to raise my eyebrows for an explanation.

"Archie here has gotten himself a a very well figured, blonde serpent girlfriend... Sascha is her name right?" Commented Veronica, fully enjoying the fact Archie's cheeks had gone as red as his hair.
